second most expensive film of 1973 second to the Roger
Moore and James Bond classic live and let die.

3. The budget for this film was $15 million, the film
created in June 1982only made a disappointing
$19 million in box office revenue.

famously for the Halloween films and other
famous horror classics.
The Thing received nominations from the
Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror
Films for Best Horror Film and Best Special
Effects, but lost to Poltergeist and E.T. the Extra-
