The Tom Farrell Institute for the Environment at the University of Newcastle will be hosting a film night for students on August 25th from 5PM to 8PM in the Life Sciences Theatre. The event will feature a presentation on the science and solutions of climate change delivered by Peter Thrift. This will be followed by a screening of the documentary film "The Hungry Tide" which investigates the effects of climate change on the Pacific island nation of Kiribati which sits just meters above sea level. Refreshments will be provided and an RSVP by August 24th is requested.
