How to Generate Revenue and Develop Platforms that Help Clients
Satisfy Diverse Customer Needs
A common problem in producing
products for clients as a service is that
clients frequently have specific needs
that can't completely be addressed with
a standardized product. The ability for
clients to target with effective branding and messaging can be essential to
maximizing opportunity and good personal relations.
Enabled the processing of more than $12M in annual transaction
volume and generated hundreds of thousands in annual revenue
by designing and delivering to clients a customizable portal to
sell tickets directly to members of groups.
Situation
This was a challenge at one particular company where the clients were in
need of a group sales tool that would not only facilitate ticket sales but
would provide specialized messaging and branding to diverse customer
groups such as university alumni and parents, corporate clients, and
community associations. Additionally, functionality was needed to give
group leaders access to visibility and reporting on the sales for their group.
Solution
To address those needs, we began a project to provide a group sales product
to fill these specific needs. The solution allowed very specific control over the
types and amount of tickets available to the group, allowed great flexibility
in specific custom branding and messaging while still being maintainable as
an ongoing product, and provided group leader tools to view and report on
the ticket sales happening for their specific group.
Result
The group ticket window project quickly grew to process more than $12
million annually in transaction volume and hundreds of thousands of dollars
in revenue annually. The product was used by more than 40 clients to
provide group ticket sales to many diverse groups.
