2. Presentation to class
For Monday, I was briefed on what I needed to do for my presentation. The presentation was
something I was dreading to do mainly because it is a key part to my final grade. After getting it
explained in detail a bit more, it wasn’t as difficult as I first expected. I managed to complete
editing my four minute thirty presentation in one full day of college. I used premiere pro to achieve
this. It took me a minute to get used to using it again as I haven't used the program in a while but I
quickly got back on my feet with a little help. Once finding my feet I went and collected all relevant
images I would need to complete a successful presentation. I collected all my end products then
two pictures of my process for the products. I did this just so everyone could see my work
progress as I explain how I got from one place to another. Once placing all pictures in and setting
them to the correct lengths of time, I added in some fade away to help transition each image
nicely. Even though that could have been finished and complete, I felt some text would be relevant
and helpful for the viewers and break each section up nicely. I used the text to explain what was
going to come up next just by putting "Front Cover" then giving it a nice zoom effect coming
towards the viewers. Once completing that all I had to do was export. Getting this done quickly
gives me time to get my script together and finish off my evaluation. With only four days of class
time left to finish my work, I am fully confident that I will complete very thing on time and get a
good grade. Nothing else is really giving me stress.

4. Day two of working on my presentation consisted of me beginning my script. I managed to get my introduction
and my target audience down which is some obvious short explanations. They are only brief as I'm trying to fit
it all into my five minutes. After the fist stages I began on my actual script of what I'm going to say whilst my
presentation is playing.
To sum up my presentation, I created it on premiere to give it a nicer effect when presentation. For
example using it for PowerPoint wouldn’t be as entertaining compared to the effects I could get
creative with premiere. I will have notes, not really a full script because I have full confidence with
myself to present vocally instead of recording a voice over.
5. Presentation
For my presentation I was thinking about the
easiest way for people to view my work when
walking by. I thought about just having a
PowerPoint on a relay as everyone walks past. But
they would have to stand and wait for each slide
to slowly go by which could come across as a bit
boring and annoying. So really the best way in my
opinion would do it like a gallery style. So I will
print every bit of my work off and stick them up
separately within each of the two sets. With both
of the sets I will have labels under each piece. By
doing this, it helps each viewer know exactly what
they are looking at. To finish both sets off, I will
leave some notes of my inspiration and a short
explanation of who my target audience is.

6. Getting my work out there
As I have already mentioned in my evaluation I have tried with multiple sources to
get some feedback on my work. But as I explained before I really didn’t get much
feedback from any of the places I contacted. This isn't really good as it doesn’t help
me know on what exactly I need to improve on for the future. Its some down to
awkward timing and putting my work up on the wrong websites. I went and placed
my work on deviant art, issuu, emailed aesthetica and a bit later on a Instagram
account which I didn’t give myself enough time to get out there to everyone.
Instead of relying on a few sources I think for next time I will try double the
amount of sources I tried this time. For example another good choice could have
been tumblr, Facebook and other local companies.
I also have all my work uploaded on my website. So really, that is one of the bigger
places that my work is on. It also gives my work a sense of being very professional
in the way it is all presented.

8. Introduction
For my FMP I stuck with what I knew best and what I had been doing throughout
the course. I made two sets of products involving two front covers, two double page
spreads, two album covers and two posters. All my products are music based with a
main topic of a band that I created and my own experiences at Leeds Fest. My
inspirations are from one of my favourite albums, Dr Dre 2001 along side
inspirations from the Leeds Fest designs.
Target audience
For my target audience, I chose people around our ages 18 and onwards to young
adults. I did this because of my topic really attracts the younger audiences more.
Being about festivals Leeds specifically I know the majority of people who attend
are my target audience.
9. Front Cover (rough notes)
First image- As you can see on screen I began with my masthead as to me its one of the more important elements.
Second image- I then moved onto my cover lines just to begin building a structure.
Third image- masthead, the main elements in the making of my masthead was just a clipping mask and 3D Extrusion Font ANY MALE
Band members, the three band members on the front were taken by myself within the studio. I exported them onto my mac. With these
images I used the quick selection tool to carefully get rid of the backgrounds to just leave each member on their. With some further
editing to help each member stand out a bit more I used brightness/contrast. Finishing them off used a drop down shadow.
Coverlines, I used just a nice simple Cambria font so it wasn’t too distracting from my main elements making some more important
words in bold for some nice detailing then to finish them off used the same dripping effect (Paint tool) with masthead just for the
connection helps it come together.
Titles, Exclusive interview was pretty simple to create. All it consisted of me doing was getting three different layers of the words in the
font ballpark Weiner. Two layers act as the background then for the top layer to stand out well I added in a thin stroke which gave that
nice green outlining.
Below that is the bands name. This was again a simple effect that looks really well. I used the font slay tanic in the colour black. I
rasterized it then made it a smart object so I could edit it as an image. By using the paint bucket tool I filled in some of the spaces with
green.
10. Double page spread (rough notes)
Triangles, I used the polygon lasso tool to create the triangles and just added a thick lined stroke to them the images I just
repeated the process when editing them with quick selection and adding in some hue saturation of green to fit in. to get
the imagery in the triangles its just a clipping mask and for the segments that are moved slightly off piece is because I used
the marquee tool to give off that effect. As those little segments are own layers they also have images clipped masked in
them and moved to fit in with the rest.
Geometric shapes were a case of getting off the internet and using quick selecting each segment and adding a nice gradient
to them. Lowering the opacity so they sit in the background nicely. For the second set instead of gradient it was the paint
bucket tool and a stroke.
payday
The band name and album name were just a repeat of last time just adding in another stroke but just enlarging it massively
giving a bubble kind of effect.
11. Album cover (rough notes)
For the album cover I began with a brick wall just get that nice circle black effect was a reverse radial gradient in black and
lowered the opacity a little bit it wasn’t as intense.
The gauge, this consisted of me using the beon medium effect which lead to me to using a few layers of paint brush with a
low opacity which gives that glow look then with the actual fonts a bevel and emboss with a drop inward drop shadow to
give that nice white detailing
What I did the finish off the piece was again use the same title for the bands name just coloured it in white to help it
contrast a lot better. I felt that a nice effect wold be tilting and copying a few more bands name and below each one just
lowering the opacity as if it was falling fading away
12. Tour poster (rough notes)
Band members same edit as usual hue saturation black square over the eyes paint brush emojis googol eyes
Separation halfway from the photograph and the base background coloured the base in black with the top half I
added in a stain glass effect from the filter gallery and gave it that nice green colouring
The shapes going across the middle are segments I took from the photograph by using the marquee tool and to
help them stand out on that black background I used a white stroke.
With the text towards the bottom I used the slay tanic again but for a different design I used the marquee tool to
take parts of the letters as a shattering effect coluring different segments in green
I repeated it with the text below just in different patterns but with a thick stroke added.
13. Front cover 2 (rough notes)
Masthead is the same just changed with a clipping mask with products relatability I took the image myself Leeds
fest.
With the title I used a clipping mask of an image I took whilst at Leeds fest of my friends then added in a yellow
stroke to help it contrast better on the red background. The font used here on the front is the warlock font one I
got from dafont with the rest of the title is coloured in the same yellow as the stroke and then I added in a nice
dark red drop shadow just for which some more detailing.
To made the arrows, it just came to two rectangles coming together towards and merging them. Giving them a
finish of a white stroke. Which saved me time chopping out any unecessary lines.
14. Double page spread 2 (rough notes)
The title consists of two layers coloured in yellow and white then using the marquee tool to create that glitch
effect.
For all the content on the left page I added a nice gradient background which in my opinion help break up the
strength of the yellow background. The image with a lot of other images involved me getting paper ripping
marks off the internet and just placing them with clipping masks giving off a nice effect of the square having
multiple levels.
With the text I placed the more important words in yellow just for some detailing.
For the image on the top on the right side of the page it was created by me using the images threshold and
gradient map. This is how I got the nice pop art style image using just red and no other colour due to the
background being yellow helping the it fit with the colour scheme.
For the main stage photo at the bottom of the page, I used the quick selection tool to get rid of most of the
image and to keep the stage used a red stroke for the outline to help it stand out and contrast and finally for a
nice added touch I collected a smashed glass effect off google and then coloured it in white.
15. Album cover 2 (rough notes)
For the doctor strange effect it was a case of three different circle shapes I got from the tutorial I
followed on top of each other, used a brightness and contrast to help it shine a little more giving it that
actually effect of what happens in the films.
As for the images in the middle it was a case of quick selection tool, brightness contrast and a clipping
mask wouldn’t work with this certain design so I ended up using a layer mask and invert it so I could
remove parts of the image so they each fitted in perfect to the circle.
The text towards the top again same process just different colours of yellow and white.
I downloaded another font when creating this and felt it was suiting to my album cover giving off a nice
lightning effect. The font being called fighting spirit. When designing this I used large strokes for a nice
bold outlining and making them smart object for me to colour in the middle of them white.
16. Festival poster (rough notes)
With the festival I used a lot of the same fonts I used throughout but added in two new one neo writer and ill
skillz I wanted to created something a little different. I used just rectangles for each stage with a red stroke
outlining for the contrast.
All the elements I used were drop down shadows, strokes and gradients throughout with different colours.
As for the outlining I used the arrows from the front cover just for that connectivity through work and for a little
bit a nice detailing to break up the yellow with a large paint brush with a lowered opacity.
