The METU Department of Industrial Design ranked 5th in the Red Dot Design Ranking 2015 for universities in Americas and Europe. The ranking is based on the number of Red Dot Awards won by universities in the design concept category over the past 5 years. Several student projects from the METU Department of Industrial Design received prestigious Red Dot Awards, including projects that won Red Dot Best of the Best Awards. The department thanked students and faculty for their contributions to these award-winning design projects.

Our department ranked the 5th in Red Dot Design Ranking
2015: Universities Americas & Europe
METU Department of Industrial Design ranked 5th among the ‘’Most Successful Design Schools’’ of America and Europe
according to the Red Dot Design Ranking 2015.
The ranking is based on the Red Dot Awards won by universities in ‘’Design Concept’’ category in the last 5 years. This year
USA has 5, Germany has 2 and Sweden, France, United Kingdom, Canada, Austria, Czech Republic, Brazil and Turkey have 1
education institutions in the list, respectively. The Red Dot Design Awards are given since 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordhein
