Objective:
To add value to a stable growing company by bringing my adjusting and construction
experience and expertise along with my ability to work together with other individuals,
customers and departments to contribute to the ongoing success of the company.
Work Experience:
Pilot Catastrophe Services, Inc. – 1037 Hillcrest Rd. Mobile, AL 36695 – 800-345-2287 – August
2011 – Present
Customer Service is always first.
Inside Adjusting – Working Liberty Mutual Supplement and Recoverable Depreciation claims.
This included all types of claims including hail, wind, water/sewer backup and sump pump
backup. Reading and Interpreting policy to determine coverage, deductibles and policy limits.
Staying up to date on state specific issues was a must. Partial denial letters were sent when
necessary. Confirming validity of supplements through evidence such as photo documentation
and developing comp estimates for pricing through XM8.
Inside adjusting required working closely with policy holders and contractors to determine
covered damages. Proper customer service was a must. Handling customers and explaining
policy coverage’s to determine what was covered and what was not covered is important.
When done properly, an irate or dissatisfied customer would typically thank me as they usually
have never been through the process and understanding their policy and procedures usually
was a big help. As a supplement adjuster, I had excelled in customer satisfaction as well as
meeting contractor bids through finding missed items by reviewing photo reports from the
Field Adjusters as well as contractor and insured photo reports. TeamLeads and Management
were confident in my abilities and would often request I work claims that were difficult and/or
hot that other adjusters were having a hard time with.
I also worked Inside Claims for Liberty Mutual as a “CE” Adjuster as well. The CE Adjusters were
responsible for being the “key contact” for the insured from claiminception to finish so the
insured had one key person to contact and did not have to call several different adjusters
2. working their claimfor information and questions. As a CE Adjuster, I had a work load at one
point of up to 130+ claims to manage daily with anywhere from 30-40 supplements mixed in
with these claims. I was responsible for keeping contact with the Field Adjusters, reviewing
their estimates and payments to ensure they were correct as well.
I also work as a Field Adjuster. The carrier has been Allstate. I have worked hurricane, hail,
wind, water/sewer backup and sump pump backup claims since August 2011. I have been asked
to stay for clean up after working initial hurricane claims. Most of the duties listed above were
relevant to my Field Adjuster experience, especially customer service. I made sure that the
customer knew what to expect from me and the company up front which helped in reducing
future complaints and confusion from the customer. I also take the time to review with a
customer, their policy provisions to ensure they have an understanding of coverage.
As both an inside and field adjuster, I documented my files appropriately. I document files so
that anyone can understand what is going on with the claimand can readily answer any
questions the customer or management may have just by reviewing my notes. I follow all
carrier procedures for documentation, customer service and coverage. I also follow all carrier
procedures for estimating claims. I have above average/excellent experience in Xactimate
estimating and I have most recently worked on XM8 28.

I started my career in the Sample Department making various samples for our salesmen and
customers. I was promoted to Lab Technician before the end of the year. As a Lab Technician, I
assisted the Chemists in formulating products, QC products, Microbiology and running various
tests on supplier products as well as current products in our line. We produced home
improvement products from Asphalt Coatings, Caulks & Sealants to Wall-Paper Adhesives. At
this point, I started attending college at night for Chemistry.
Within 3-4 years, I was promoted to Sr. Lab Technician. In addition to my duties above, I was
now in charge of training any new technicians hired as well as ensuring proper laboratory
procedures were being followed.
Within 3-4 years, I was promoted once again to Lab Manager, Reporting to Senior VP of R&D. In
addition to my previous duties, I was now in charge of 4 other Lab Tech’s and the day to day
4. operations of the lab. This ranged from training technicians, ordering supplies, equipment
maintenance and calibration, working
with the manufacturing supervisors on batch production and travelling to our branch plants
during “new product” production. I Implemented a Supplier Quality Program. This entailed
working with suppliers to meet agreed upon specifications for raw materials.
Within another 3-4 years, I was promoted to Lab Manager/Quality Assurance Administrator
Reporting to CEO. Along with previous duties, I was tasked with updating our Quality
Manual/SOP’s and improving quality processes at all branch plants as well as corporate
headquarters. I used ISO 9000 compliance as a template. I was in charge of annual reviews and
salary increases as well as hiring and terminating personnel. I was also involved in Sr.
Management meetings to discuss problems and update progress of our companywide quality
program. I was able to save the company $400,000/year just by re-vamping our retain program.
