Email and the Outlook application have been the hub for business
organization and communication for some time.
Here we have collected ten tips which should help you to use the
mobile app more efficiently and effectively and save you time
Outlook is more than an email server, when you are out and about you
can stay on top of what you need to do with your emails, calendar,
contacts, documents and more all in one place.

3. Listen to emails and use voice control
‘Play my Emails’ is a powerful tool using Cortana’s AI capabilities to:
• Read your emails
• Check meeting changes / conflicts
• Give email details – recipients, Meeting invites – day, date and time.
• Send email to say you are running late.
• Respond to meeting invites and even join your next meeting.
• Flag emails and create tasks

4. Find Files, trip details, contacts and more
Selecting the search magnifying glass will
instantly link to your most recent
documents, common contacts and other
activities
The app will learn your regular email habits
and recommend actions that you may be
searching for.

5. Set and Change Swipe Options
A swipe left/right can be used to direct
an email to a number of different
locations.
The first time the feature is used it will
step through the options

Go to settings then scroll to and select

8. Change Calendar View
Only works in portrait mode
In Calendar, select the view icon (top
right of the screen)
Choose from the four options:
• Agenda
• Day
• 3 Day
• Month

9. Add Other Calendars
You probably know that you can add other people's calendars to your Outlook App,
but you can also add calendars related to outside work activities such as sport, tv,
etc

10. Do Not Disturb!
Although Outlook is about getting things done it can also be a distraction.
To mute your Outlook notifications without affecting other mobile
applications go to your mobile settings and select Outlook.

11. Select Multiple Emails
In any folder long press an email to get the option to select more than one
email at a time to speed up sorting and deleting of emails.

12. Use Samsung DeX
The Outlook app is optimized for some of the newer Samsung devices and
allows you to use Samsung DeX. This features enables the connection of an
HDMI or ‘Miracast’ enabled monitor and pair a mouse and keyboard to give
you a desk-top style experience
