■ In solo practice for 20 years in SouthernCalifornia as an obstetrician-
gynecologist,ThomasTri Quach, MD, delivers babies in local hospitals. In
his charitable work, Dr.ThomasTri Quach helped organize fundraising
events for theOrangeCoast Medical Center in CA and beyond.
OrangeCoast is part of the MemorialCare system, which sponsors some
300 clinical trials that allow top doctors to develop improved treatments
and possible cures. Studies are underway in the following areas:
1. Lung care - MemorialCare seeks men and women for research
participation in three cystic fibrosis projects. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic
disease that impairs breathing and gets worse over time. Studies are
available for men and women up to age 99, under six years old, and
children up to 36 months.

3. MemorialCare
■ 2. Maternity care - Recruiting continues for research subjects
on topics such as hydration during induced labor, high blood
pressure after birth, and the use of steroids before birth.
Participants should be age 18 or older.
3. Pediatric cancer - Researchers are investigating measures to
take for young patients who have leukemia, tumors in
reproductive cells, or Ewing’s sarcoma, which causes tumors in
bones and soft tissue.
