1. Contents: methodology and basic training
* Is able to execute the modules’ programmes in the basic training.
* Has sufficient knowledge of the Kindertelefoon’s methodology and
issues such as child abuse, bullying, emotional problems and
recognising crisis in children and teenagers.
2. Teaching skills to volunteers
* Is able to effectively lead roleplays: focussed on giving feedback,
working towards the success spiral and incorporating the feedback
into the taught skills.
* Is able to lead discussions: introducing, asking critical thinking
questions, drawing conclusions.
* Is able to give clear instructions for assignments and effectively
discuss the assignments.
3. Motivating volunteers to learn
* Is able to make a challenging start: with conviction about his
programme and in contact with the volunteers.
* tackles resistance: making and maintaining contact and using
constructive criticism as a learning tool.
* Is able to confront volunteers with their blind spots while using a
warm tone of voice.
* Is able to adequately handle criticism by volunteers: reward and
question.

* Is motivated to thoroughly prepare for a training.
