DC-PRMIA Vision Broad Vision: “To evolve into the strongest, most creative, networked and important PRMIA Chapter globally.  We do this by seeking to provide forums, training and other opportunities to set the highest standards for our professional members.   We create valuable interactions amongst the key thinkers on financial policy, markets and regulatory oversight.  We do this through a combination of training, relationship building,          engagement, and thought-leadership.”
DC-PRMIA Vision and Mission To be a leader of opinion and a proponent for the risk management profession Influence ideas and  be proactive around policy issues Drive the integration of practice and theory and certify the credentials of professional risk managers Connect practitioners, researchers, students and others interested in the field of risk management Be global in focus Work with other professional associations in     the furtherance of DC’s mission  Increase volume and participation rates  Establish 3-new and strong affinity partners  Increase focus on Chapter by-laws
DC-PRMIA: 2010 Goals and Objectives Create an environment of connectivity amongst DC chapter participants Add valuable content from the DC chapter community into the local (global) risk management community Be timely, relevant, and increasingly “sought out” for expert advice on risk management, market and regulatory issues Enhance our education and training initiatives and delivery mechanisms Building a pool of sponsors for our Chapter Expand our affinity relationships Authorizing and getting published thought     leadership pieces Cross-market/brand with NY and Boston The “corridor of power”

  Supports the events committee
  Acts as a check on the SC to ensure no      conflicts of interest ,[object Object],   outside solely the PRMIA channel(s) ,[object Object],   global If you have interest in joining the DC-PRMIA Chapter’s Steering Committee in one of the vacancies noted above, please send an inquiry to dc.prmia@gmail.com and PRMIA will respond with a request for a bio/background.
