5. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
The audio might sound bad due to coughing or
messing up lines.
Rerecord the sections or delete parts where we
make a mistake.
The recorder/phone might be too close to our
mouths or we might record in a noisy area.
Rerecord the entire part because it’s
unsalvageable.
The Wi-Fi might go down meaning we can’t
collect sound effects, clips or edit the podcast.
Use 4G on my phone to find clips and save
them until I can find a working computer or do
work that doesn’t require Wi-Fi.
The computer might be broken which means
we can’t edit the podcast or find stuff for the
podcast.
Do work that I don’t require a computer for or
try find a computer that works.
My work might save incorrectly or the save file
might corrupt.
Double check that I’ve saved my work or email
it to myself just in case.
The version of Premiere Pro might vary on the
different computers I use meaning I can’t access
my work.
Change computers until I find one with the
same version of Premiere Pro or do the
PowerPoints instead.
6. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Tripping over equipment and bags and injuring
ourselves.
We will be keeping all our equipment and bags
under or on tables.
I might get eye strain from looking at the
screen whilst editing.
I will take routine breaks from the screen so my
eyes can adjust back to normal.
I might get hand cramp/strain from using the
mouse and keyboard for an extended amount
of time while editing.
I’ll stop editing and either watch a video or take
a walk so my hands stop aching.
I might get cramp in my legs or back from being
sat down for too long while recording or
editing.
I will take breaks in which I will walk around so
my legs and back are being used.
I could get a headache or a fever from being sat
in a warm room for too long while recording or
editing.
I’ll leave the room and go for a walk around
college or possibly stand outside the front of
the college building until I feel better.
I might get the Coronavirus. We will sanitise our areas and hands so we
don’t catch anything.
