- 11. 11 OA IN WEB OF SCIENCE CORE COLLECTION • OA status for journals is downloaded the first of each month from DOAJ • ISSNs from DOAJ are matched against journals in the WoS Core Collection – The status “Open Access” is added to items according to the first calendar year the journal provided Open Access content • OA in WoS is a journal-level metric – There is no item-level information captured • Clarivate supplements DOAJ data with WoS historical records of OA journals that have ceased publication and/or are omitted from DOAJ.
