Thomas Cazals is a Lawyer and Doctor of Private Law. His practice covers all aspects of taxation. He advises in
particular family groups and companies in relation to their acquisition (companies and real estate assets),
transfer and restructuring (local and international) transactions. He also deals with company transfers, estates,
income tax and wealth tax (regularizations of undeclared foreign assets and income, transfers of residence,
taxation of impatriates and expatriates). Finally, he also benefits from an advance practice in tax litigation
(amendment procedures, tax search warrants, administrative or judicial litigation…).
Prior to creating the Cazals Manzo Pichot law firm, Thomas worked within the law firms Jones Day and Darrois

Maxence Manzo is a lawyer who focuses on tax law. His practice covers all aspects of taxation relating to
companies for their transactions and restructurings, whether French or international (pre-acquisition tax
audits and tax structuring). He also advises senior managers for the implementation of management packages
(BSPCE, free shares, preferred shares…) and French and international investors as regards general taxation.

Romain Pichot is a lawyer who focuses on tax law. He advises French and international companies, investors
and entrepreneurs, for all issues relating to taxation, strategic operations (acquisitions, disposals, partnerships,
internal reorganizations and structural projects…), daily fiscal management, tax audits and litigation.
Romain has developed an appreciated sectoral expertise in financial services industry (insurance, banking, asset
management), real estate transactions (investment, trading and development), energy (photovoltaic, thermic,
tax incentives) and innovation.
Romain Pichot also frequently assists clients during tax audits and controversies.
Prior to joining Cazals Manzo Pichot, Romain was a partner at Courtois Lebel, co-heading the tax department.
Romain also used to work at Allen & Overy and for more than ten years as in-house tax advisor in French
financial institutions. In the last two years, Romain advised on the following transactions:
