2. MARKET WRAP
Sensex dropped 1.64% @ 19,015.14 pts; Nifty dropped 1.60%@ 5,761.35 pts.
European major indices FTSE, CAC & DAX were down from 1.20% to 1.87%;
NASDAQ was down by 1.44% while Dow Jones Ind. Avg. was down by 1.55%.
Sensex fell 316.55@19,015.14; Nifty fell 93.4pts@5,761.35. Market slips below 19000
on Europe woes. Govt. proposed a hike of 5% freight rate in the rail budget which might
increase burden on the corporate earnings. Shares of wagon manufacturers extend falls
after 2013/14 railway budget unveiled by govt. was seen as lacking big announcements.
