data, automation, and neural networks have become
daily lingo. Naturally, AI's vast and unprecedented
potential applications tend to generate a lot of
buzzes, especially concerning the economy.
However, people tend to mischaracterize or
misunderstand the sense of AI, which serves only to
weaken its potential as a transformative technology.
Let's clarify the most common misconceptions of AI,
to get a more grounded understanding of this
emerging technology and its potential cases of use.
AI is taking away my work: Arguably, the most
common and potentially dangerous misconception
about artificial intelligence is that it will take jobs
away from people. Automation leads to increased
flexibility for several other low-skilled workers, but in
recent years this phenomenon has dramatically
overblown. However, most scientific estimates show
that automation powered by the AI is likely to
generate more jobs than it will displace. AI in the
