9. ▪ The 8x8 MIMO technologies provide the following advantages
▪ 5 to 10 times larger in coverage, as compared to standard 3x3 MIMO AP in the market
▪ Dynamic beam directing towards the WiFi client, which increases the link gain by at least 14
dB, as compared to a standard access point
▪ Directed beam towards the user suppresses interference coming from all other directions

10. ▪ Altai uses two different technologies concurrently, increasing its WiFi base
station capacity by a factor of 10:
▪ Altai’s patented smart antenna technology – higher antenna diversity supports stronger the signal
strength and hence throughput at distance, improving the median throughput by a factor of 5
▪ Altai’s AirFi technology – a throughput optimization algorithm implemented at the WiFi layer,
increasing its average efficiency and capacity by a factor of 2 and more

38. ▪ Location: China
▪ Application: Indoor WiFi connectivity for automated logistics
applications including RF readers, automated guided vehicle and
robots
▪ Product: A8Ein and C1ni
▪ Challenge: Large and complex area with a lot of mobile terminals and
automated robots. Large metal racks created major obstacle and Non-
Line of sight coverage, especially inside of each aisle.
▪ Solution: A8Ein(s)were installed for wireless coverage and C1ni is
embedded to the AGV
▪ Result:
▪ Complete seamless coverage of the logistics center with strong
connectivity at every corner, even deep into the aisle.
▪ Top industrial fast roaming with handover time of < 80ms under
WPA2
Automated logistics Centre (1)
39. Automated logistics Centre (2) –AGV w/ C1ni
In the logistic center, it is critical for each
automated guided vehicle to have
uninterpreted and seamless roaming
connectivity to perform non-stop
operations. If the connectivity is weak or
no connectivity, within seconds the AGV
will stop operating. This will hugely affect
the operational efficiency. To enhance
the connectivity, Altai C1ni is integrated
in the AGV to offer top industrial fast
roaming with less than 80m/s under
WPA2
40. ▪ Location: Northern China
▪ Application: Private network – interconnecting all the
warehouse applications
▪ Product: A8n and C1n
▪ Challenge:
▪ The area is dense with narrow corridors among the
building blocks
▪ Lack of Ethernet and tall buildings for installation
▪ Moving trucks, forklifts and metallic goods can affect
Wi-Fi signal and network coverage
▪ Dual-band concurrent operations and redundant
coverage are required
▪ Solution:
▪ A8n co-located with existing 2G/3G cell sites
▪ Some Altai C1n were mounted on the side-wall of
warehouses
▪ Altai C1n are configured as AP/CPE pairs for extending
Wi-Fi coverage from the A8n
▪ Connected with the C1n, the A8n provides Wi-Fi

A Famous Food Conglomerate
41. ▪ Location: China
▪ Application: Indoor WiFi connectivity for paper
warehouse
▪ Product: A8Ein
▪ Challenge: Large complex area coverage
(100m x 100m) with 40cm apart between paper
stacks. Rf absorption of Paper stack was very
high with basically no coverage at all with the
original 12-APs Wi-Fi network
▪ Solution: A single unit of A8Ein was installed for
wireless coverage.
▪ Result:
▪ Complete coverage of the plant with strong connectivity
to all handheld terminals throughout the warehouse.

43. Smart Manufacturing, China (1)
◼ Location: Eastern part of China
◼ Application: WiFi network for automotive manufacturing
plant
◼ Challenges:
▪ Harsh environment
▪ Network reliability and redundancy
▪ Limited site for installation
▪ Full coverage for 80,000 square meter workshop
◼ Solution:
▪ Seven A8-Ein’s are mounted on the ceiling
▪ AWMS is used for access and network management
◼ Result:
▪ It replaced 30 units of Cisco AP
▪ In such a complicated environment, the average
signal strength is over -60dBm at 200m away from the
base station
▪ A8-Ein is able to maximize signal strength and
minimize interference and packet errors
▪ With the new wireless network, the real-time data is
able to transfer from production line to the Control
Room
44. Smart Manufacturing, China (2)
In the car assembly plant, each industrial robot requires
an uninterpreted connectivity not only to perform non-
stop operations, but also monitoring the
health/production status of each station/robot. In
addition to that, all programmable logic controller (PLC)
data will also be recorded in the data center for big data
analytics to improve operational efficiency.
45. ▪ Location: Close to San Juan de los lagos, Mexico
▪ Application: Private network – interconnecting all production
plants, warehouses and poultry houses
▪ Product: A8n and A2
▪ Challenge:
▪ Large area coverage including indoor and outdoor areas
▪ Large amounts of real-time data are transmitted through
the wireless network
▪ To replace existing Ruckus/Meraki wireless network , it does
not live up to expectations: poor connections, high latency
and limited signal coverage
▪ Challenging indoor environments with moving trucks,
forklifts and metallic racks which can affect Wi-Fi signals
and network coverage
▪ Reliable and always available connectivity is critical
▪ Solution:
▪ For open area coverage, Altai A8n’s are installed on the
rooftops of buildings to provide Wi-Fi coverage over long
distances
▪ For relatively smaller coverage such as the indoor areas of
the poultry houses, warehouses and packing stations, the
Altai A2 access point are deployed to provide a cost-
effective wireless coverage
▪ Applications like a wireless sensor network, truck weighing,
goods tracking, wireless surveillance system can now be
fully operated without worrying about the stability of
wireless network
