*A LITTLE INFO ABOUT THE ORIGINAL WORKS
● 2005 ADHDU Ed on Meds a musical parody co-written by faculty members,
experts and student cast dealing with the harmful potential of over
medicating children for attention issues. This won honorable mention at the
Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2005.
● 2009 Checkmate a musical ‘anti-Fairytale’; the idea and entire book by two
students using popular songs, standards and show tunes
● 2010 Away we Go a musical revue; book by Terry Christgau, songs from
musical theater, popular music and world music.
● 2012 The Way by Terry Christgau An original story incorporating twelve
verses selected from the Tao Te Ching inspiring twelve original pieces
devised by the cast
ON OTHER STAGES
Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall; Mr Christgau was executive producer for twelve years
of Montage our annual music concert
Dwight Dance: Mr Christgau was also the executive producer for five seasons for the
annual Performances at the Mid Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (MMAC).
Scene Night In addition to the main stage performances every year there have been
two showcases, one in Autumn and one in the Spring. These are designed to bring
curriculum to life for a public audience of the whole school community by
incorporating scenes from classical theater, dramatic realism, comedy, farce,
absurdism, devised works, and improvisation in many forms such as theatresports,
long form and wildly original and open forms improv.
