2. Step1: Necessary Tools that are needed with TEMS Investigation 8.0.3 (Data Collection and Route
Analysis).
Step2: Necessary files that are needed for the installation:
1. TEMS 8.0.3 Installer (Step3)
2. 5 Patches Files by David. (Step6)
3. .reg File that is created by David from the HASP HL MAX dump. (Step7)
4. Vusbbus Emulator that is again provided by David.

3. Step3: Install the TEMS 8.0.3 by executing TEMS_Investigation_8.0.3.

4. Step4: You will note that the HASP Drivers are installed automatically. Remember there is no equipment
connected yet.

5. Step 5: Go to TEMS8_Key Folder and run the TEMS8_Activation.

6. Step6: Now Replace the 5 Patched Files in Directory C:Program FilesTEMS ProductsTEMS
InvestigationApplication.

7. Step7: Now run the Register File Provided by David (Twice).

8. Step8: Now Connect the Equipment, I have Sony Ericsson K790. If ask for Drivers then Unzip the Drivers
from the TEMS Installer Pack. See Snapshots:

10. Note: There will be several times that you need to give the same directory and it will keep installing the
different drivers of Sony Ericsson. Check if the Sony Ericsson is connected or not by going to Device
Manager.

11. Step9: Now You need to run the Vusbbus Emulator provided by David, Click on Install, you’ll see the
Aladdin Driver getting Installed Automatically. Once Installed, Check the Aladdin Drivers in the Device
Manager.

12. Step10: Go to Start  All Programs  TEMS Products  Utilities  TEMS Investigation 8.0.3 HASP HL
Reader. When the window pops in, click on File  Read Hasp Keys. Now you are able to run the TEMS
without the need of dongle.

13. Step11: Open TEMS Investigation 8.0.3 Data Collection. See if your TEMS Handset is automatically
detected or not. If not then you don’t have to worry. You can add it manually. In my case it was detected
automatically.
To Add Manually, you need to look in the Device Manager, what are the ports Assigned to it. In my case
the two ports have been assigned Port 12 and Port 13 (See Step 8). The trick of choosing the TEMS ports
is very easy. You need to click the Add Button in Equipment Configuration Window (Ctrl & Config Tab).
Once done it will ask you about the ports that need to be assigned. You will see additional two ports in
it. Consider the series of ports, like if you have seen Port12 and Port 13 then there must be Port10 and
Port 11 Present in the List of Ports. The Least Port Number is the Data Cable Port Number and the next
Port Number will automatically be the Equipment Port Number. See the Picture Above.
Summary: You need to find the 4 Series of Ports, 2 Highest Number Ports are shown in Device Manager
and 2 are Invisible but shown in TEMS. The least Number Port is the Data Cable Port and the next one is
the TEMS Handset Port. Now everything will be working fine, including the route Analysis, See the
SnapShots below.
