2. WHERE WE ARE

3. What is Associazione del Tempo scelto?
- The association was born in 2000, with the aim of connecting
individuals and groups working to build a world of solidarity and
responsibility.
- The pooling of knowledge is at the heart of European citizenship. The
sharing of experiences is a fundamental goal.
- The association is convinced about the need to incorporate learning
policies for providing quality education to all learners.
- Now we are an Adult Education Center (2014). The project is therefore
to help the community of European associations to train themselves,
to structure their information, to exchange their experiences, to build
common knowledge, to set up civic alliances, to develop alternative
proposals and to organize a democratic citizen scene.
The priority today is to analyze in a transversal way (multi actors, multi
thematic, geographically and culturally diversified) the skills approach,
recommended in current training curricula

4. The activities of the association are declined around 5
groups of exchange:
- to support the democracy
- to preserve the environment
- to help citizens to find a social utility and role
- to weave the solidarity
- to favor the access of all to the education.
These exchanges gave rise to a roadmap with two lines of
action:
 support democracy by making everyone actor / trice;
 for a circular economy and a happy sobriety, what motivates
our approach is both to give meaning to what we are
experiencing, to put our civic actions into perspective (to serve
the city), to identify what we can do more and better, to realize
that we are not alone and to develop partnerships with other
realities.

20. ASSOCIAZIONE DEL TEMPO SCELTO PURSUES A NEW DEVELOPMENT MODEL,
BASED ON THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE PRICELESS ITALIAN CULTURAL AND
NATURAL HERITAGE, CAPABLE OF PROVIDING ANSWERS IN TERMS OF
QUALITY OF LIFE AND EMPLOYMENT.
OUR GUIDE LINES ARE:
Education and upbringing as a social responsibility.
Research-action for the knowledge, protection and
sustainable use of cultural heritage.
To students, Associazione del Tempo Scelto wants to propose
research-action opportunities that, starting from the methods
of analysis of the cultural heritage, also lead them to formulate
proposals for protection, enhancement and sustainability.
The methodology proposed by Associazione del Tempo Scelto
to schools finds its founding elements in the interdisciplinary
nature and in the active participation of the students and the
group-class in the training and educational paths.
The didactic and pedagogical use of information technologies
and IT tools.

22. Active citizenship entails interaction with local, national and European institutions with
the aim of bringing to the attention of authorities, often uninformed, issues of prime
interest to society.
The Italian citizen has inviolable rights, which are guaranteed by the Constitution and
which include, among others, the right to work, health and equality without any
distinction, not even social conditions.
"It is the responsibility of the Republic- recites article 3 of the Italian Constitution -
remove the obstacles of economic and social order, which, in fact, limiting the freedom
and equality of citizens prevent the full development of the human person and the
effective participation of all workers in the political, economic and social organization of
the country".
If, therefore, the conditions that allow the full realization of citizenship rights do not occur,
the citizen has the right to organize itself in peaceful forms and in line with the social
and political development objectives of the society in which he moves in order to promote
these objectives.
Associationism and the promotion of active citizenship therefore become a fundamental
tool for carrying forward the demands and projects cultivated by a group of citizens.

NATIONAL ORGANISATIONS LIKE “Cittadinanza attiva Onlus”, “Italia Nostra Onlus”,
“CESVOL”.
