Olympic Middle School 2k10-2k11 By: Tasia Lee Bruton Olympic Middle School 2k10-2k11
Class of 2013, I will never forget the time’s we all had together, whether it was in choir, orchestra, band, regular old classrooms, P.E, Sports or even in the locker rooms(; IT WAS FUN. I hope you all cherish this moment, and the moments we all will have together in the near future.
Congratulations Cougars ;♥” Here we stand, before you as the eighth graders we looked up to as we first began our years at Olympic Middle school. Soon we will begin our high school journey and once again become the small grade looking up to the kids that seem so big. I would like to take a look back and remember the happiness at this school, before we look to the future for good things to come. When I think of good memories at Olympic, a few things come to mind such as the dances, field trips, school sports, all of which have brought us closer, teaching us to trust each other, and function as a whole grade, instead of individuals. During all of these activities, slowly but surely we gained one of the most important things you need in middle school. Friends. Through the three years we have learned different lessons about friends in each grade. Like, making great new friends in sixth grade, growing tighter with them in seventh grade and learning that you'll keep them forever in 8th Grade. We have learned many things at this school, but as we move into high school, we will have many new lessons to learn, as well as many new things to look forward to. Football games, pep rallies making even more new friends, will be fun activities, but we also will get a first look into the rest of out lives, and we will have some very difficult choices to make. Olympic has prepared us to make these choices, as well as the ability to concur anything else that comes our way. Olympic Middle School is a great place, and it taught each and every one of us what we need to know. So to you, my fellow eighth graders, we are ready for high school.
7th and 8th grade year. Through the middle school years, we look back on all our old friends, that might not be our friend’s now, but that doesn’t change who they are, or were as people. Many 8th grader’s thought we were annoying because we were the “lower” species. Now they are, and we’re the top dog’s at our school until Freshman year. Now we’ll be “Fresh Meat” for the upcoming juniors, sophomores, and seniors. But hey, we all had great times at Olympic, through the drama, injuries, and all the time spent making new friends, we did it cougars ! We accomplished our mighty GOAL of staying’ together through the good and the bad. Although there are upcoming bumps in the road, we won’t let that stop of from being WHO WE WANT TO BE ! GO CLASS OF 2013 !
