2. WIKIS – PBWorks Go to http://pbworks.com. On the “FOR PERSONAL” drop-down menu, choose “Sign up now”.

3. WIKIS – PBWorks Think of a suitable URL. Agree to non-commercial terms. Pick a screen name and enter your email and a password.

4. WIKIS – PBWorks There are TWO privacy settings. Who can see it? Is this a public website for anyone to find and look at or PRIVATE, just for you and selected others? Who can edit it? All PBWorks users or just you and selected others?

5. WIKIS – PBWorks There are TWO editable areas WORKSPACE The pages which contributors can add to, edit, change, erase, etc. COMMENT SPACE Like blog comments, these are outside the normal body of the wiki pages. They are uneditable once posted.

9. PBWorks– Pages, Files, Folders PBWorks includes many “template” pages. To use these, you can click on one from this menu and customize it, then link it in through the sidebar or an in-page link. Delete them if you don’t think you’ll need them – they are clogging up your page list!

19. PBWorks– Embedding Maps and Video If you’re unfamiliar with HTML code and/or have trouble embedding a map or video, another option is to just copy the link into the regular view. When you save it goes live. You won’t be able to see the media in the wiki, but you can click on the link to open it in a new window.

20. PBWorks– Page History THE MOST IMPORTANT LINK FOR SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATION: From the non-edit view (“VIEW” tab), you can access the previous versions of the page.

22. Click on the Date/Time to see any previous version

23. Restore a previous version and replace the current version

24. Delete any version (careful!)
