merchandise brands and competitive items in units/ dollars, profit margin, onhand inventory levels and fill
rates. Make merchandise recommendations based on consumer insights and sales.
Coordinate promotional items purchased from initial presentation, through item creation process, ticketing or
labeling process, any marketing or signing, purchase order creation, shipping and delivery schedule to
warehouse then to stores, tracking sales, evaluating item performance and replenishment as needed.
Manage inventory level; identify opportunities that are impacting store level instock and warehouse onhands
or onorders. Balance store stock level by recommending merchandise pushes or CPFR adjustments by item
and working with replenishment manager to balance warehouse onhands on a regular basis. Manage and
recommend internal projections for replenishment manager and buying teams for inventory control.
Coordinate all planograms/modular updates and new layouts with buying office at Wal-Mart layout facility.
Follow modular stages from initial layout to proofing final copies before delivering to stores.
Daily activities include: Buyer calls, item maintenance, inventory management, email follow up, instocks and
onorders, seasonal liabilities, and forecasting.
