5. How Can Azure SQL help me?

predictability for each database hour over

concurrent requests like workgroup and web
applications.

6. What is Azure SQL Premium?
• The marquee capability with regards to performance of the Premium service tier is
the predictable performance second over second for each Premium database.
Using the Premium service tier allows you to size your database application based
on peak load for that database and removes cases where performance variance
can cause small queries to take longer than expected in latency-sensitive
operations.
• It can also make it possible to migrate some on-premises applications without
significant changes since it is an experience that is closer to the traditional, isolated
experience assumed in those applications when they were originally built.
