We have high potential women who are ready for promotion
They are less likely to apply for promotions than less-ready men
Our YSC assessments helped identify readiness and development….
…. But were done only for preferred candidates
Sponsors are hugely helpful, and we tend to sponsor people like us…
… and there were too few women at the top to sponsor
So focus on three things:
Own feeling of readiness
Develop that readiness
Create sponsorship relationships
8. Decent results…
28/34 moved to larger roles
Built network – reduced the need to be a pioneer
Shifted the make-up of the executive population
Repeatable
And…. Significantly helped sponsors
