2. PREZI
Prezi is an interesting online program to use as there were lots of backgrounds to chose from and you are
able to add text, arrows and import images on it. You are able to adjust the size and move it anywhere you
want. It also doesn’t matter how big or small the slide boxes are as Prezi will zoom into it. Even though it
can be slow overall it’s a great program to use. it’s a pretty simple program to use and I used it o present
Media Institutions, Process through making my magazine and Music magazine analysis.

3. PADLET
Padlet is another program I used and I didn’t like it as much as Prezi because if you click on free form
mode you are able to move all the text boxes wherever you want, however it can get annoying and
fiddly. Also when you embed it onto a blog there is not full screen mode so you have to scroll to read
the text. The second time I used Padlet was better as I chose the stream option where all the text and
images are lined up, however on Word press I had to increase the size of the embedded program. I
used Padlet for the Audience Profile and the chosen images for my magazine.

4. SLIDESHARE
Slideshare is another program I used and I liked it as all you had to do was make what
you wanted on Microsoft PowerPoint and then you can upload it onto Slideshare and
then you are able to put it onto your blog. I was a simple and easy to use program as it
saved a lot of time. I used Slideshare for the genre layout conventions and my
magazine DNA. The only problem I faced was I had to upload the PowerPoint
presentation from my home computer.
Upload onto Slideshare by

All you have to do is design it all
on Microsoft PowerPoint, you
can choose any design etc.
5. ZOHO DOCS
Another online program I used was Zoho Docs. It’s kind of like Microsoft PowerPoint and
Prezi, however there is a bit less features and it isn’t as easy to use. The main problem of using
Zoho Docs was the speed as it was far too slow. I even tried it on my home computer and it
was really slow. I could only use this program for a piece of work and that was my chosen
masthead design. It also took me a while to get used to all the features and to figure out
where everything was.
This is what
Zoho Docs
looks like on
Wordpress.
You are also able to insert
images into Zoho Docs and
you can use them on the
slide.
You are able to choose a few
font
sizes, colours, styles, alignme
nt etc.
6. PowerPoint app
The PowerPoint web app is another program I used and
it is just like Slideshare because you design everything
on Microsoft PowerPoint and the way you upload it is
different because you have to go on Outlook email and
then on SkyDrive. After you upload it you can embed it
onto a blog etc. I liked the PowerPoint app better than
Slideshare because the transitions work on it when in
full screen mode. I used the PowerPoint app on the
Paper Planning and magazines which have influenced
the design of my magazine.

7. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
Trimmed his
hair
I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the images seen on the front
cover, contents page and double page spread of my music
magazine. I have learned a lot from using Photoshop. I now know
how to adjust the colour of the image to make it look the best as
possible. I used a range of tools to crop the image and have added a
few more details and adjustments to the image to make it look
improved. Adobe Photoshop is a great program to use as it enables
you to improve an image if you are not happy with it.

8. ADOBE INDESIGN
Three columns
basic layout
Three columns with all the
text and images and how I
used it as a guideline
Another program I used was Adobe InDesign. I used InDesign to
design the contents page of my music magazine. The main reason
why I used InDesign was because you are able to choose how many
columns you want for the guidelines and I chose three. The features
on Adobe InDesign are much less than Adobe Photoshop and I
didn’t like using the program. Furthermore I had to adjust to
difference because the way you insert an image is different and
other features are in different places.
