3. Acknowledgements
A project is a golden opportunity for learning and
self development. we consider ourselves very lucky
and honored to have so many wonderful people
lead us through in completion of this project.
My grateful thanks to MD. Selim al Mamun who
in spite of being extraordinarily busy with his
duties, took time out to hear, guide and keep us on
the correct path. I do not know where I would
have been without him. A humble ‘Thank you’ Sir.
4. A.H.M. Kamal, Head of the Department monitored my
progress and arranged all facilities to make working
process easier. I choose this moment to acknowledge his
contribution gratefully.
Lecturer, Tushar Kanti saha whose patience I have
probably tested to the limit. He was always so involved in
the entire process, shared his knowledge, and encouraged
me to think. Thank you, Dear Sir.
I would like to thanks Project Selection Committee for
efforts and help provided to us to get such an excellent
opportunity.
Last but not the least there were so many people who
shared valuable information that helped in the successful
completion of this project.
6. Objectives
Our objective is to develop a web site about our
department, and to obtain this objective we have to
work harder as we normally do. Modifying a web site
is easy from planning a web site and then creates it.
At first we plan for a good web site by finding many
Computer Science and Engineering web sites. We
also observe some template for this web site. At last
we choose a template and start creating objective as
the web site build up.
9. In the section of teacher, All the faculty member will be
present in this list. This list will show by a paging where
five people as teacher will show. If we give a paging size
as 5 then it will show the first five teachers from the
database table ‘profile’.
10. In the section of student, All the faculty member will
be present in this list. This list will show by a paging
where five people as student will show. If i give a
paging size as 5 then it will show the first five
students from the database table profile. Here is also
another option named filtered added to do a filtering
from whole department. The filter will work with
session, if i select the session 08-09 then all the
student of 08-09 batches will show in the list. Here is
a figure which is showing that a student with paging
in the list of students. When i click on the link of
student in the menu bar it will be loaded
automatically.

12. Course Coding System
Each course is designed by a three to four letter code identifying
the department offering the code followed by a three-digit
number having the following interpretation:
The last three digits represent the course number.
The last two zeros (00) of a course code represents
Project/Thesis works.
The last digit is an odd number for theoretical courses and an
even number for laboratory courses.
The letter code CSE stands for departmental courses, EEE
represents Electronics/Electrical courses, PHY stands for
Physics courses, MATH stands for mathematical courses, and
GED identifies general educational courses.

14. Procedure of class routine
The class routine is a very important thing in any
Institution. In this Institution a class routine will give up
after starting the semester. a class routine show the time
table for class in different time. Here in my project the
default class routine is set for the leading batch and then
give an option to select the many other option of batches. If
we are trying to see the fixed class routine for a fixed batch
then we have to click the link of batch labeled.
15.
16. Results
The exam of semester final will be held on completing the
whole courses. we must have to attend in this exam either
we will drop out. The result for a semester depend on
internal marks.
The total performance of a student in given course is
based on a scheme of continuous assessment. For theory
courses this continuous assessment is made through a set
of quizzes, class evaluation, class participation,
homework assignment and a semester final examination.
The assessment in laboratory/practical courses is made
through observation of the student at work during the
class, viva-voce, laboratory hours and quizzes.
17. Numerical Grade Letter grade Grade Point Interpretation
80% and above A+ 4.00 Outstanding
75% to less than 80% A 3.75 Excellent
70% to less than 75% A- 3.50 Very Good
65% to less than 70% B+ 3.25 Good
60% to less than 65% B 3.00 Satisfactory
55% to less than 60 B- 2.75 Nearly Satisfactory
50% to less than 55% C+ 2.50 Average
45% to less than 50% C 2.25 Nearly Average
40% to less than 45% D 2.00 Poor
Less than 40% F 0 Fail
18.
19. Computation of Grade Point Average (GPA)
Grade Point Average (GPA) is the weighted average of the grade points obtained in all
the courses passed/completed by a student. For example, if a student
passes/completes n courses in a semester having credits of C1, C2,........................., Cn
and his/her earned grade points in these courses are G1, G2.................Gn respectively,
then. n
Ci*Gi
i=1
GPA =
n
Ci
i=1
20. When we click on the link of related books the page
show the content of all the list of books for all courses.
The list contains several subjects’ books and a good
system for download, just click on the link and save as
you want to.
21. Sidebar
This is a side where people can
login, after login a maintenance link
will be shown. If the user click on
the link then he/she will see the
profile where he/she can edit
his/her profile and if the people are
teacher then the teacher see the
profile and also management page
where he/she add marks or check
marks.
24. An admin panel of a site is to use only for good maintenance.
Here in our project of department of computer science and
engineering we create an admin panel where we use also a login
sector. Via giving the valid username and password an admin
can access the admin panel. form that admin panel an admin
can control the whole web site.
25. The registration sector is the vital sector for this site
because if any person not registered in this site then
he/she can’t access the results in this site and also
he/she can’t use the Dashboard. In the registration
area there are many options taken by the admin and
also all that are checking for valid. If all the
information given by the user is valid then he/she
can get registered into this site. A registered user
can access profile with editing options. Every user
needs a login for entering into this site for editing.
26.
27. There are several kinds of people in the department.
All of that people are listed in a table and then for all
that people, set an edit link to each of that people. If
the admin click on the edit link then a new page
come through and after edited the page should be
submitted.
In the figure you can see that an Edit link is stay in
the last column. here is also using a paging to sort
the complexity of finding any person.
30. Limitation
In this web site there are many limitations. The
limitations are created by me because of time and
some unknowingness. But after some days we will
do this web site great and that time every person
will look like they are not in this world.
31. Conclusion
Above we write all about our project. This is not a
good web site but this is a good demo for a good web
site. If we get a chance to create this web site from our
department from head of the department then we
will create it for working. This is a project of
department web site. We would like to thanks all of
my teachers and friends from whom we are doing
such kind of work.
