My educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science for the Humanities where my focus lied on studying the use of fuzzy logic in comparison to classical probabilistic approaches for modelling vagueness and uncertainty in the context of archeological databases. I am a research developer with a longstanding expertise in software development and programming in various companies and academic institutions. In more recent times I participated in several European projects in which I conducted research in the fields of distributed computing in large-scale digitisation and long-term preservation projects of digital libraries.
