7. LOGOZEE IS GREEN (Zee Entertainment Enterprises)
Film making and content creation is like any manufacturing activity which results in fuel usage,
electricity consumption, manpower usage, raw materials (camera, film processing, lights, and high end
computers) and also produces large landfill waste.
The final film/ tape is the raw output or end product as it make it available for distribution.
Zee has realized that the only way to subdue this growing crisis is personal action – ‘is what we consume as individuals
and how we produce as corporations’.
ZEE is making a commitment to sustainability towards everything that they do as a company. ‘ZEE Is Green’ initiative
translates environmental commitment into action.
It identifies ways to “walk the talk” and integrate sustainability across its span of businesses, in front of the cameras as
well as, behind it.
8. LOGO
Pehel (Jagran Prakashan)
‘Pehel’, literally meaning ‘initiative’, signifies effort as a change agent for inclusive and sustainable social development
and commitment towards amplifying people’s voices.
This initiative focuses on economic, environmental and social sustainability.
Awareness drives are conducted to reinforce a sense of urgency for sustainable development.
Print media as well as video coverage is used to drive out the message to masses.
Analysis: A thorough analysis of Indian M&E companies reveals-
•Sustainability is considered more of as an obligation than a way of doing business.
•Sustainability is viewed from CSR angle. This is due to lack of awareness and lenient policy regulations in the M&E
sector.

appeal, and act as agents of social change

IP while expanding access will be able to better protect shareholder value
