I assumed responsibility for major customisations to the Assets module in order to perform automatic
creation, movement and retirement of assets based upon activities in other modules. This involved
analysis, design and programming of significant customisations to the Assets module, including
creation of automatic interfaces from the Order Entry, Inventory, Payables and Purchasing modules.
To perform these tasks I undertook technical recruitment for the Assets, Inventory and Order Entry
modules, I created the integrated design for the customisations, I performed team leading and directing
of the changes to the Assets module, and I also did hands-on programming of the more difficult
customisations.

9
Secondary level support consultant for Y2K testing project. This involved supporting all Oracle
Financials and Manufacturing modules (including Project Accounting and Cash Management) during
testing for the effects of the millenium bug. Duties involved identifying the cause of problems whether
due to Functional Setup, User errors, Test Script errors, Customisation Design and Implementation,
DBA, UNIX (HPUX) or Oracle TARs. These were corrected or referred as appropriate. Duties also
involved reviewing and redoing all the testing of the Cash Management and Accounts Receivables
modules.
24. CSC, Perth, Australia. April 1999 - March 2000.
Senior consultant performing both secondary level support, troubleshooting and customisations across
all modules of Oracle Financials and Manufacturing. Customisations included creating Functional
Requirements, Design and Installation Documents according to SDMS methodology. Customisations
were across the board including reports, forms, database triggers, SQL and PL/SQL scripts, SQL
Loader, etc. Many of the Inventory and Order Entry customisations involved rewriting customisations
originally undertaken by Oracle Systems. These rewrites corrected errors and obtained acceptable
commercial performance, for example a stock use report which did not complete within 30 hours was
rewritten to complete within 1 minute.
I came into this project towards the end of its lifespan and there were many disgruntled users. I initially
began by turning around Assets by completing all customisations and resolving all outstanding support
issues. I then proceeded to Inventory, Order Entry, Payables, Purchasing, Y2K changes and EDI
customisations. I completed all customisations and cleared out the support backlog (prior to my arrival
there had been a constant level of 250 issues for the previous 2 years). At the completion of the project, the
minimal level of further support required was such that, the client organisation (the Health Department)
could assume and manage the project internally.
DG/UX (Aviion) platform, 10.7SC GUI.
25. Alcoa, Dronen, Netherlands. March, 2001 - May, 2001
U.K. Consultant, Inventory and Purchasing 11i modules. Responsible for implementation and training in
these modules for U.K. Sites.
This contract involved travelling between Holland, sites in England and Wales to meet users, collect
information for upcoming implementations and training of users at the Banbury U.K. site. Unfortunately
this implementation was critically underesourced. I was sent to the Banbury site 2 weeks prior to its
schedule for implementation and no work had been done. This was the second site scheduled for
implementation and there were no available resources to begin work as they had all been diverted to the
first implementation site in Holland which had still not been completed after 3 months. This situation was
exacerbated by ongoing network problems. The project had to be postponed.
During my time at Banbury I trained all users in the use of the Inventory and Procurement modules using
KPMG supplied manuals.
26. Delphi Consulting, Perth, Australia. August, 2001 - September, 2001
Upgrade of previously performed customisations performed by myself at Hadson Energy (still in use)

the same.
27. Alcoa Australia, Perth, Australia. February, 2004 – June, 2004
Technical Consultant, EBS Project. Oracle Financials 11i.5.8 on HPUX environment. This project
10
involved the identification and resolution of the reconciliation problems within the Oracle Projects
module. In order to identify and resolve the problems, extensive end-to-end functional knowledge of
both Financial and Manufacturing modules was required (i.e. Oracle Purchasing -> Oracle
iProcurement -> Oracle Payables -> Oracle Projects and EAM/Order Entry/WIP -> Inventory ->
Projects). Customer Extensions and other AOL integrated customisations were created to assist in the
identification of reconciliation problems. Metalink was used and TARs created and liason with Oracle
Corporation performed in order to identify and obtain patches which needed to be applied. A thorough
UAT document was created which verified that at the completion of the project all reported problems
had been isolated and resolved.
28. CSC Australia (Department of Land Information). December 2004 – August, 2005
Technical Consultant, EBIS Project. Oracle Financials 11i.5.10 on HPUX, Windows NT and XP

Technical Consultant, Compass Project. Oracle Financials 11i.5.10 on AIX 5, and Windows XP
environments.
Creation of eCommerce Gateway Order Management Interface (Quadrem->Biztalk->Oracle). This
involved control of the entire project at both the highest and lowest levels. For example, Business
Analysis, setting of Unix environment variables, creation of shell scripts, Functional Setup in Receivables,
Process Re-engineering and Training and Support of end users.
Advanced Pricing, XML Publisher and Receivables Aging report customizations.
Investigation and Setup of XML Gateway and Message Designer for interface (ADSSA->Oracle). Creation
of Java servlet to set required XML Gateway Message Envelope variables. Recommendations on the same.
30. Alcoa Australia, Perth, Australia. December, 2007
Eight day contract in which I setup, configured, and successfully established and “round trip” tested XML
Gateway connection between Perth and North American database and documented procedures for
replicating the same. Transactions and maps included Purchase Orders, changes and acknowledgments.
Invoices and Advanced Shipment Notices. Oracle Financials 11.5.10 on HPUX.

This involved supporting all Oracle Financials and Manufacturing modules (including Project Accounting and Cash Management) during testing for the effects of the millenium bug. Duties involved identifying the cause of problems whether due to Functional Setup, User errors, Test Script errors, Customisation Design and Implementation, DBA, UNIX (HPUX) or Oracle TARs. These were corrected or referred as appropriate. Duties also involved reviewing and redoing all the testing of the Cash Management and Accounts Receivables modules. 24. CSC, Perth, Australia. April 1999 - March 2000. Senior consultant performing both secondary level support, troubleshooting and customisations across all modules of Oracle Financials and Manufacturing. Customisations included creating Functional Requirements, Design and Installation Documents according to SDMS methodology. Customisations were across the board including reports, forms, database triggers, SQL and PL/SQL scripts, SQL Loader, etc. Many of the Inventory and Order Entry customisations involved rewriting customisations originally undertaken by Oracle Systems. These rewrites corrected errors and obtained acceptable commercial performance, for example a stock use report which did not complete within 30 hours was rewritten to complete within 1 minute. I came into this project towards the end of its lifespan and there were many disgruntled users. I initially began by turning around Assets by completing all customisations and resolving all outstanding support issues. I then proceeded to Inventory, Order Entry, Payables, Purchasing, Y2K changes and EDI customisations. I completed all customisations and cleared out the support backlog (prior to my arrival there had been a constant level of 250 issues for the previous 2 years). At the completion of the project, the minimal level of further support required was such that, the client organisation (the Health Department) could assume and manage the project internally. DG/UX (Aviion) platform, 10.7SC GUI. 25. Alcoa, Dronen, Netherlands. March, 2001 - May, 2001 U.K. Consultant, Inventory and Purchasing 11i modules. Responsible for implementation and training in these modules for U.K. Sites. This contract involved travelling between Holland, sites in England and Wales to meet users, collect information for upcoming implementations and training of users at the Banbury U.K. site. Unfortunately this implementation was critically underesourced. I was sent to the Banbury site 2 weeks prior to its schedule for implementation and no work had been done. This was the second site scheduled for implementation and there were no available resources to begin work as they had all been diverted to the first implementation site in Holland which had still not been completed after 3 months. This situation was exacerbated by ongoing network problems. The project had to be postponed. During my time at Banbury I trained all users in the use of the Inventory and Procurement modules using KPMG supplied manuals. 26. Delphi Consulting, Perth, Australia. August, 2001 - September, 2001 Upgrade of previously performed customisations performed by myself at Hadson Energy (still in use) involving Payables, Receivables and General Ledger interfaces and creation of customised reports on the same. 27. Alcoa Australia, Perth, Australia. February, 2004 – June, 2004 Technical Consultant, EBS Project. Oracle Financials 11i.5.8 on HPUX environment. This project
  • 10. 10 involved the identification and resolution of the reconciliation problems within the Oracle Projects module. In order to identify and resolve the problems, extensive end-to-end functional knowledge of both Financial and Manufacturing modules was required (i.e. Oracle Purchasing -> Oracle iProcurement -> Oracle Payables -> Oracle Projects and EAM/Order Entry/WIP -> Inventory -> Projects). Customer Extensions and other AOL integrated customisations were created to assist in the identification of reconciliation problems. Metalink was used and TARs created and liason with Oracle Corporation performed in order to identify and obtain patches which needed to be applied. A thorough UAT document was created which verified that at the completion of the project all reported problems had been isolated and resolved. 28. CSC Australia (Department of Land Information). December 2004 – August, 2005 Technical Consultant, EBIS Project. Oracle Financials 11i.5.10 on HPUX, Windows NT and XP environments. Support of Librados middleware. For example, Business Analysis, setting of Unix environment variables, creation of shell scripts, Functional Setup in Receivables, Process Re-engineering and Training and Support of end users. Advanced Pricing, XML Publisher and Receivables Aging report customizations. Investigation and Setup of XML Gateway and Message Designer for interface (ADSSA->Oracle). Creation of Java servlet to set required XML Gateway Message Envelope variables. Recommendations on the same. 30. Alcoa Australia, Perth, Australia. December, 2007 Eight day contract in which I setup, configured, and successfully established and “round trip” tested XML Gateway connection between Perth and North American database and documented procedures for replicating the same. Transactions and maps included Purchase Orders, changes and acknowledgments. Invoices and Advanced Shipment Notices. Oracle Financials 11.5.10 on HPUX.
