Work experience:
1. Present Employer(Oct 2015 to present) : Transnav Ship Mgmt Pte Ltd, Singapore in
the capacity of Technical Superintendent for Product tankers. Responsible for
technical support for three chemical/product tankers.
Jobdescriptionincludes implementationof and ensuring maintenance being followed
onboard as per PMS, to advise vessel for troubleshooting technical issues onboard,
liaisoning with Makers and vendors for spares and technical support, cost effective
management and ensure budget limits being adhered to, arranging shore support for
the vessels if necessitates, liaison with Purchase team for follow up and procurement
of spares from various vendors, Dry Docking of the vessels to be carried out as per
requirement with due considerationof Owners budget and in close liaison with Class
surveyors, arranging for Annual Surveys and Annual servicing of the vessels and
ensure the defects being rectifiedandvessel to be defects free for successful trading,
reporting to Technical Managerforthe vessel’s performance and issues being faced
and liaising with Owners for same.
2. Jan 2008 to May 2015: Sailed as Chief Engineer with Anglo Eastern group last, progressed
through the ranks of Second Engineer to Chief Engineer and served onboard various types
of vessels including gearless and geared Bulk carriers, Container vessel, VLGCs including
LPG storage installation vessel performing daily STS operations with pressurised LPG
vessels.
3. Year 2001 to 2007: Progressed through the ranks of Junior Engineer to Third Engineer
working with renowned ship management companies globally.
4. Apr 2014 to July 2014: Worked in the capacity of PMS Coordinator with Anglo Eastern
Hong Kong office, to re-design and restructure the PMS system for an entire fleet.
5. Visiting faculty in Natcom Education and research foundation, Gurgaon as lecturer for
technical courses like GASCO, etc.
6. Year 2006-07: Worked as maintenance incharge of HVAC plant and power generators of a
reputed hotel in Punjab, India for brief period of about 6 months during time betweenClass 2
CoC exams.
Dry docking experience:
1. Vessel: MV.Paiute (Rank: Third Engineer) Company: Selandia
DD Facility: Setubal, Portugal
Description: Assisted with planned dry docking jobs of the engine room in the rank of
third engineer: Main engine bearing surveys, Boiler surveys, repairs and mountings
overhaul, tail shaft survey, stern tube seals renewal, rudder inspection, ship side valve
overhauls, tank surveys and repairs, other planned overhauls as per DD specs. Actively
participated in other deck repairs and surveys during dry dock.
2. Vessel: MV Lowlands Longevity (Rank: Second Engineer). Company: Anglo Eastern
DD Facility: Sembawang Shipyard, Singapore.
Description: Prepared DD specifications and carried out all jobs as per prepared specs:
 Assisted class surveyor for the CSM survey jobs including Boiler survey and Main
engine items
 Main engine items overhauls as per planned DD jobs including turbocharger
overhaul, fuel pump overhauls, etc.
 Auxiliary engine surveys and other machinery overhaul and survey.
 Stern tube liner survey and seals renewal, propeller polishing and refitting
 Engine room pipeline system repairs and shipside valves overhaul.
 Assisted in planned tanks cleaning and surveys including FO bunker tanks.
 New sewage systems installation and modification of pipelines as per planned.
 Electrical machinery maintenance jobs in DD including motor overhauls, alternator
maintenance, distribution switchboard maintenance, automation systems
maintenance.
 Assisted in deck machinery overhauling inspections.
 Actively worked together with shipyard and superintendant taking costing factors
during DD.
3.Vessel: LPG Pacific Harmony (Rank: Second Engineer) Company: Anglo Eastern
Dry Docking facility: Zhoushan, Cosco shipyard.
Description: All dry docking jobs of an LPG Carrier as per DD specs:
 All machinery items as per CSM, other items presented to surveyor for inspection.
 All machinery items overhauled as per planned DD specs including all Main engine
unit overhauls, turbocharger overhaul, fuel pumps, maneuvering system and related
components, other engine room machinery maintenance.
 Tailshaft and intermediate shaft removal survey, liner maintenance and seal
renewal,
 Ship side valve overhauls, sea water pipeline and valves maintenance and renewals,
 Pressure vessel surveys and repairs to steam system,
 Actively participated in all DD jobs of deck including maintenance of LPG
compressors, pipelines and installation of new booster pumps and heat exchangers,
tanks and cargo pumps inspections, hull surveys, ballast tank, FO tanks inspection,
cleaning and repairs.
 Actively worked in cooperation in shipyard and Superintendant taking cost factors
into account.
4. Vessel: MV Rya Rad (Rank: Chief Engineer); Company: Anglo Eastern
Dry Docking facilities: Daeyang shipyard, Dalian and Chengxi shipyard, Jingjiang.
Description: Extensive dry docking comprising of overhauling and repairs of almost all
the machinery and hull repairs:
 All Main engine Bottom end bearings renewed, crosshead bearings and Main
bearings overhauls and surveys as per CSM.
 Supervised Main engine fuel pump overhauls, turbocharger overhauls, Air cooler
cleaning and pressure testing, Manoeuvering system overhauls, cylinder liners
renewal, decarbonisation, exhaust valves and other component overhauls carried out
by yard in assistance with ship staff,
 Boiler and steam system maintenance including complete boiler re-tubing, survey
and pressure testing.
 Auxiliary engines overhaul including maintenance on air coolers, bearings,
alternators cleaning etc.
 All engine rooms pumps overhaul,
 All engine room piping systems, heat exchangers maintenance including cleaning,
tubes renewal and pressure testing, insulation, other repairs and renewals as per DD
specs,
 Other Engine room machinery repairs and renewals as per condition and DD specs.
 Steering gear systems maintenance including seals renewal and pumps overhaul.
 Accommodation AC and refrigeration systems maintenance and repairs.
 Stern tube bearings renewal and liner polishing.
 Deck machinery maintenance including windlass removal, repairs, and refitting.
Actively participated in other jobs pertaining to deck repairs as well.
 Hydraulic system comprising of pumps, valves, pipelines: maintenance and renewal.
 Electrical systems maintenance including motor overhauls, switchboard
maintenance, WIDAS repairs,etc.
 Assisted with new tanks fabrication and designing,
 Actively worked with Class surveyor, Superintendant and ship yard for all jobs taking
cost factors into account as well.
Chengxi Xinrong Shipyard:
 Actively participated in hull repairs eg Bottom plating renewal, tanks
superstructure repairs carried out by yard.
 Rudder pintle bush renewal along with ship yard.
5. Vessel: MV Genco Claudius: (Rank: Chief Engineer); Company: Anglo Eastern
Dry Docking facility: Chengxi Guangzhou Shipyard, China.
Description: From planning to successfully carrying out vessel’s first Dry Docking at
Chengxi Nansha shipyard, China.
 All machinery items as per CSM, other items presented to surveyor for inspection
including Main engine Bearing surveys, Boiler inspection surveys, load testing of
Vessel’s lifting gear.
 All machinery items overhauled as per planned DD specs including all Main engine
unit overhaul, fuel pumps, maneuvering system and related components, other
engine room machinery maintenance.
 Supervised maintenance carried out by yard to all Machinery items including Main
engine items, electrical motors overhaul, pump overhauls, repair of Fuel oil tanks
steam coils.
 Modification to Vessel’s systems:
 Modification to ship’s existing Bunker tanks in accordance with LSMGO storage
requirements, modification to filling and suction pipelines. All carried out in
accordance with Class approval.
 Modification to sewage and grey water system in accordance with NPDES
requirements: Filling line to Aft peak tank, fabricated as per Class requirements.
 Modification to bilge system as per Class approval.
 Tailshaft and intermediate shaft survey, liner measurements and seals renewal,
 Ship side valve overhauls, sea water pipeline and valves maintenance and renewals,
 Supervised maintenance carried out by shore technicians to automation and
instrumentation equipment, calibration of precision equipment.
 Actively worked with Class surveyor, Superintendant and ship yard for all jobs taking
cost factors into account as well.
6. Vessel: MT Olivia II: Company: Transocean
Successfully supervised dry docking of subject vessel at Nigerdock, Lagos in
April’2016. Independently handled the Dry Docking operation right from
preparation of docking to conclusion of all docking and intermediate surveys.
Worked in close cooperation with Class surveyors and within budgetary
requirements of Owners.
