Other SE projects
SEAC started the reengineering of their software system from the current platform
(Cobol/ISAM) to the .NET platform with Microsoft SQL Server. The objective of this project
is to support such reengineering effort, by means of automated and innovative tools.
ASPIRE (Advanced Software Protection: Integration, Research and Exploitation) is a
European FP7 project (n. 609734), funded under the theme ICT-2013.1.5 (Trustworthy
ICT). ASPIRE establishes trustworthy software execution on untrusted mobile platforms
that have a persistent or occasional network connection to a trusted entity at their
disposal.
RISCOSS (Managing Risk and Costs in Open Source Software Adoption) is a European FP7
project (n.318249). RISCOSS offers novel risk identification, management and mitigation
tools and methods for community-based and industry-supported Open Source Software
(OSS) development, composition and life cycle management to individually, collectively
and collaboratively manage OSS adoption risks.

Ø Plays the role of project coordinator
Ø Leads WP3 on methods and tools for decision support, and in
particular T3.3, being the main contributor to the research and
development of the tool components on decision making processes by
leveraging on its extensive experience in decision making and automated
reasoning techniques
Ø Leads WP8 (project management), coordinating the
project’s organisational, administrative and financial aspects, and carrying

FBK also participates to all the other packages, with substantial contribution to:
Ø WP1: participates in all the three tasks by bringing its competence on user feedback management
and on argumentation-based user feedback platforms
Ø WP2: leads T2.3, conducting research and developing the part of the analysis tools devoted to
multi-modal feedback, and has a major role in T2.5, contributing with research on techniques for
the combined analysis of feedback and data at support of decision makers
Ø WP4: leads T4.3, conducting research and developing tools to reconfigure feedback gathering
depending on the decisions taken in WP3, and contributes to T4.1
Ø WP5: provides technical support for the integration of the tool components
Ø WP6: provides support for the use-case validation of WP3 components
