3. Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) - a technology that identifies
objects using low-power radio frequency technology.
RFID, in its most basic form, requires two components:
RFID Reader
RFID Tag
RFID does not require line of sight or contact between the readers and
tags
In a basic RFID system, tags are attached to all items that are to be tracked.
These tags are made from a tiny tag-chip, sometimes called an integrated
circuit (IC), that is connected to an antenna that can be built into many
different kinds of tags including apparel hang tags, labels, and security tags, as
well as a wide variety of industrial asset tags. The tag chip contains memory
which stores the product's electronic product code (EPC) and other variable
information so that it can be read and tracked by RFID readers anywhere.
An RFID reader is a network connected device (fixed or mobile) with an
antenna that sends power as well as data and commands to the tags. The RFID
reader acts like an access point for RFID tagged items so that the tags' data
can be made available to business applications.

5. LISYS - RFID & HOSPITALTIY
OPERATIONS
Through the utilization of RFID technology, we provide our hotel customers with the
most effective linen asset management system, to best manage the linen inventory,
automatically track laundry service activity, and efficiently manage linen storerooms.
We bundle this system as part of our unique linen & laundry service.
Our virtual asset management ecosystem consists of RFID smart labels, RFID
readers(mobile or fixed) and Management Information System.
Tagged with Fujitsu smart tags* each linen asset is scanned and monitored by
revolutionary RFID UHF readers at various reading points throughout our service cycle,
which comprises of a soiled and clean section. Each section implies 4 reading points,
every time linen changes hands. For each reading point there is a corresponding status.
Every time a tag is detected, it changes status. Our cloud-based Management
Information platform LiSys records every status change and passes it on to the next
reading point. The subsequent readings are consolidated by aggregation. Finally LiSys
combines the information in a handful of actionable reports.
7. Tag –Benefits & Value
TAGS can survive harsh industrial laundry
process.
Can be Washed 200 -400 times.
Are Reusable.
Have a 4-6 Foot read range.
Perform at a 99% accuracy.
Cost efficient solution with exceptional
durability for washing, drying, dry cleaning and
ironing.
Suitable for high-pressure extractors up to 60
bar.
Small, soft, flexible material ideal for textiles,
linens, garments and accessories.
100% non-magnetic construction, suitable for
hospital use.
8. 1. New linen arrives with tags installed by the
manufacturer or is tagged at the Housekeeping.
2. Each piece of Linen is Defined to system and
therefore added to the inventory
3. Linen is Cleaned and Pressed.
4. Linen is placed in the trolley and moved
through the lobby.
5. Linen is scanned to Hotel Information system
using RFID readers and the tag will be
registered to the database.
6. Soiled Linen Received at the Laundry will be
washed and sent back to the hotel and it will be
updated to the database at every laundry in or
laundry out.
7. This will reduce the manual counting and
segregation at each points and save time and is
more accurate.
Reduce time and effort involved in processing, shipping and receiving at the Laundry.
