ServiceNow well positioned to benefit from the migration to Multi-Cloud
Industry vertical app solutions will thrive on the NOW platform.
Horizontal solutions on NOW platform run the risk of being cannibalized by ServiceNow. Several
case studies from Force.com ecosystem (Apttus vs. Steelbrick)
Many of ServiceNow competitors, such as BMC Software, Solarwinds and CA Technologies,
acquired using a lot of leverage. Pace of innovation questionable. IBM and HP risk losing market
share in the cloud.

Cloud Applications
Multi-cloud defined a best-of-breed approach to delegate different types of workloads to
different cloud providers.
For example one may build an application’s CRM workflows on Salesforce’s Force.com but use
Google Cloud for machine learning, while hosting .NET applications that use SQL Server on
Microsoft Azure and collecting all data through API calls.
Or, an enterprise may use Salesforce Cloud for CRM and Workday for HCM.
Enterprises need to support multiple cloud environments running mission critical applications

Many mobile apps start native on a platform for better integration, faster performance, and higher
reliability, and then migrate to other platforms to gain additional market traction
Same is proving true for enterprise cloud apps

IT Service Management refers to the
management of IT ticketing within an
enterprise.
• Example: An employee’s
computer requires a software
update so he/she submits a
ticket to IT for repair
• Enterprises use ITSM to manage
thousands of such tickets

ServiceNow App Ecosystem
© 2018 True Blue Partners, LLC. All rights reserved. |
ServiceNow’s Store has the strongest ITSM focus out of various leading app stores
While still in its early stages, Store has quadrupled the number of apps listed since its inception in
2015 and still has untapped growth potential
Similar to Salesforce, ServiceNow is aggressively investing in companies in its ecosystem
In certain areas like Customer Service Management, Salesforce and ServiceNow will be
competitors
We expect that ServiceNow’s ecosystem will create multiple Billion Dollar exits
It no longer makes sense for point solution app companies to limit themselves to one key
enterprise ecosystem
