Entrepreneur And Manager
Both entrepreneurs and professional managers are like two sides of
the same coin. The roles played by both of them in the management
of the enterprise lead to its success or failure. Competitive position
of an industry.
The resolution depends on the efficiency of the strategy devised
for it .The continuous development in the size of the business has
identified the ownership and management of the enterprise as a
separate entity with divisional management . Both the owner and the
manager, though occupying different positions , strive to achieve the
same goals.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ENTREPRENEUR AND MANAGER
ENTREPRENEUR MANAGER
2.Financial uncertainties involved in the
industry, fear of loss.
2.He does not bear any losses of the
enterprise . He is a mere servant or
employee.
3.He will receive profit for his role in the
business. Profits are uncertain and
irregular. Sometimes loss also happens.
3.He receives remuneration from the
industry for his services in the form of
remuneration. Salary is fixed and regular
.Remuneration cannot be negative for
any reason.
1.He does not start new ventures . He will
serve as an employee in an established
Industry.
1.He will start a new venture or
undertake a venture for his own
satisfaction.
4.Entrepreneur adopts innovation from time to
time to maximize profit .Therefore , a
businessman is called a change agent.
4.A manager shall undertake only the
function
Of managing the existing enterprise. Since
then, the manager is a product of change
created by the entrepreneur.
5.An entrepreneur has neither a superior nor a
master. He is an all-round independent person.
5.An administrator is merely a servant ( ie a
businessman)acting under the direction and
control of another person . So he is free.
6.He has certain courage. He has the ability to think
creatively, bear the fear of loss.
6.But the administrator must have other
qualifications. Knowledge of human behavior ,
management theory etc . Is essential.
7.Innovation in industry the fitter. 7.He is the ruler of the industry(administration)
will do.
8.Have an eye on the market and technology. 8. Focus is basically on governance within the
industry.
9.He rarely pays attention to his status. He will
be very happy if his intended work is
accomplished.
9.Pays more attention to his status .He pays
more attention to his office, office space ,
atmosphere , furniture.
10.Will try to please others. 10.Will try to please himself and his customers.
11.Proceeding with the system if the system is
not right, the youth rejects it and creates his
own new system.
11.He expects the system to feed him. He will
recognize his place in that system.
12.May not have a higher education degree. 12.Possess higher education degree.
