This PowerPoint helps students to consider the concept of infinity.
Cells
1. CELLs
It’s basically a biology lesson creating
knowledge on cells from the beginning to the
end.

2. What is a cell ??
Have ever wondered that what is a cell
before mugging up the definition….
Have you ever discussed or queried.
Okay,
Here comes cells VERY SIMPLE
The structural, functional and
biological unit of all organisms.
3. Person behind the CELLS
Robert Hooke discovered cells
ACCIEDIENTLY and the name was
derived from its size ( 1665 A.D.)
Which was extremely small
Looking like small rooms in the
prisons or jails.
And was by self designed
5. Cells in DETAILED
Lets move on to detailing of cells (BBC)
> Humans are multi-cellular animals. That
means we are made of lots of cells, not just one
cell. The cells in many multi-cellular animals
and plants are specialised, so that they can
share out the processes of life. They work
together like a team to support the different
processes in an organism.
6. Cont’d….
Specialized cells
You should be able to work out special
features of a cell from a drawing, if
you are told what the cell can do. The
tables below show examples of some
specialised animal and plant cells,
with their functions and special
features
7. Cells Types
Type of animal cell Function Special features
Red blood cells To carry oxygen •Large surface area, for
oxygen to pass through
•Contains hemoglobin,
which joins with oxygen
Nerve cells To carry nerve impulses to •Long
different parts of the body •Connections at each end
•Can carry electrical signals
8. Female reproductive cell To join with male cell, and •Large
(egg cell) then to provide food for the •Contains lots of cytoplasm
new cell that's been formed
Male reproductive cell To reach female cell, and •Long tail for swimming
(sperm cell) join with it •Head for getting into the
female cell
Root hair cell To absorb water and •Large surface area
minerals
9. Leaf cell To absorb sunlight for •Large surface area
photosynthesis •Lots of chloroplasts
