PROJECT OVERVIEW
Calibre Consulting were engaged by Cassidy Construction as part of this
design and build project through Watercare to replace the roof of the Pinehill
Reservoir on Auckland’s North Shore. The existing domed concrete roof
was replaced with a new steel roof as a result of on-going maintenance to
Watercare’s assets.
Calibre Consulting provided preliminary structural design, detailed design and
documentation as well as construction monitoring.
VALUE ADD
With a six week construction period for replacing the roof, it was important
that the onerous time frames were met. Calibre Consulting worked in close
collaboration with the contractor to meet these tight deadlines, completing
on time and under budget as well as ensuring that any potential risks were
mitigated, during the construction process.
Calibre Consulting received positive feedback from the client stating that
“prompt replies and advice were always available during construction. During
the design phase, Calibre was open to adjustments that allowed for improved
constructibility.Getting it sorted on short notice was important to us”.
