Position: Decommissioning Supervisor on SSI South Teesside Steelmaking Complex.
Working as a Decommissioning supervisor,ensuring the safetyand integrity of personnel,plantand associated
equipmentrelevantto the plant, carrying-outsecurity and maintenance routines maintaining prioritysafety
systems,(Fire Fighting,Crane Compliance,Confined Spaces,Electrical Substations),to ensure availabilityof the
systems atall times until the demolition process starts..
Working with a Multi-disciplined approach carrying-outbasic electrical and fabrication tasks as required.
Working in a team environment,playing an active part within any team taking a leading role if needed to
ensure good team operation and safe working practices.
Carry-out preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure Safe plantavailabilitywhen required. This
involves a Multi-Disciplined approach to carry-out fault finding on Mechanical and Electrical equipment
and repair as necessary with a hands on approach, ensuring plant and personnel safety is not
compromised.
Due to my knowledge and experience I carry-out and review Management of Change (MOC)
documentation when required, ensuring all engineering documentation, ( SWP’s, Method Statements,
Isolation procedures and Work Packs), are modified to create clear and precise procedures and method
statements for all personnel.
Act as a central pointfor contract labour,this involves supervising /monitoring activities that are carried
out within the plant, ensuring all HSE documentation and Isolation and/or Immobilisations are in place,
2. ensure that all working parties have been briefed before a permit to work (PTW) can be issued. This
also involves review / auditing working parties to ensure that safe systems and safety standards are
being adhered to at all times.
