Content Marketing Without Social
Media
Without an active social media campaign the
content you create most likely sits within the blog
on your website. This is then indexed by the
search engines and depending on your niche size
and the competitive nature of it, you’ll start to
attract website visitors. This is the purest form of
content marketing.
As you sole source of website traffic is the
search engines, this means that you actually
need someone to search for something you have
created content about. You are also reliant upon
your website achieving a high ranking.
The trouble with this approach is that Google now
wants to answer questions and not simply direct
people to a list of websites, try entering a
question such as “what is content marketing?”
The reason for this I believe is to try and
encourage people to search again, thus keeping
you on the site longer and exposed to advertising
messages much longer.
Content That Is Not
Actively Promoted is at a
Big Disadvantage.

LinkedIn is the perfect platform for
content marketing professionals.
Generates Leads
I have a semi-automated marketing system in place, everything starts with content which is scheduled and fed into my blog to meet my daily publishing schedule. On
Monday, Wednesday and Friday my email newsletter is automatically generated and sent to my subscriber base without any involvement on my part. Most of my tweets are
automated and sent to engage my audience, this generates thousands of website visitors. I also love to repurpose content on LinkedIn, using their long form publishing
platform, this results in exposure to thousands of new audience members, it increases the links I have in Google.

This is then indexed by the search engines and depending on your niche size and the competitive nature of it, you’ll start to attract website visitors. This is the purest form of content marketing. As you sole source of website traffic is the search engines, this means that you actually need someone to search for something you have created content about. You are also reliant upon your website achieving a high ranking. The trouble with this approach is that Google now wants to answer questions and not simply direct people to a list of websites, try entering a question such as “what is content marketing?” The reason for this I believe is to try and encourage people to search again, thus keeping you on the site longer and exposed to advertising messages much longer. Everything starts here Everyone should be on Twitter Twitter generates website visitors LinkedIn is the perfect platform for content marketing professionals. Generates Leads I have a semi-automated marketing system in place, everything starts with content which is scheduled and fed into my blog to meet my daily publishing schedule. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday my email newsletter is automatically generated and sent to my subscriber base without any involvement on my part. Most of my tweets are automated and sent to engage my audience, this generates thousands of website visitors.
