Engagement simply means getting your fans to do something in response to your post.

These are all forms of engagement, and each time one of these things is done, social
platforms specifically measure these.

13 Social Media Tips for Driving Engagement and
REVENUE Immediately
1. Consistency
To build Loyalty and Trust we need to be consistent.
Being on peoples timelines and new feeds on a
consistent basis is key to building engagement on
Social Media
2. Schedule
This ties in with number one. Plan out a posting
schedule, checking the best times of the day to post.
Have themed days and create expectancy and
encourage engagement i.e. Fan Friday!
3. Post Photos or Videos
Photos Typically get 50% more interaction than text
alone. This amount increases on Ads when promoted.
Instagram is Photo driven so is a given! Maybe a caption
this photo question as an idea?
4. Create a Call to action
Giving people a task is ok, telling people in a non salesy
way to carry out an action will build engagement. CTA
Like “Consider this for a moment…” rather than “Call us
for all your Clothing needs on 02871…”
5. Ask Questions
6. Cross promote platforms
Not to be confused with posting the same message on
all platforms, this is to inform your audience that you
are on other platforms and tell them how to follow you
there also for more unique content
7. Engage Independently
As with Number 6, do not use the same exact content on
all platforms. Think of each platforms usage. Why would
someone like to visit Instagram? Probably not to read a
long form article you also posted to Linkedin…
8. Hold contests and give always
Create fun and engaging giveaways that doesn’t devalue
your product or service. Discounts are transparent. Give
always are always good! Although tempting, avoid
using terms like “Tag a friend”!
9. Do NOT be “Salesy”
People don’t wake up in the morning itching to go on
Facebook to see products for sale. Be social. Give
Value. Always and forever.
10. Hold Flash Sale when Promoting
Organically, it is advisable to never be salesy on Social
media, UNTIL you put money behind it and your post
becomes “Sponsored” Then it is ok as long as you tie
your product into your brands story.
11. Integrate Social Media
Make sure you have engaging Websites with one click
buttons to social media platforms, also on Business
cards or alternatives. Make sure to track with pixels
where your customer has come from
12. Post Reviews
Social Proof is key also when building engagement.
Most of us here today have read reviews and were
influenced by positive or negative experiences. Share
the positives and address the negatives
13. Customer Service
Never has it been more important for a business to
focus on online customer service. It can drastically
effect your engagement in a good or bad way depending
on how it is dealt with. Response time is key…

  • 6. Engagement! Engagement simply means getting your fans to do something in response to your post. -Like -Comment -Click to open picture -Click on Link -Share These are all forms of engagement, and each time one of these things is done, social platforms specifically measure these.

  • 9. 1. Consistency To build Loyalty and Trust we need to be consistent. Being on peoples timelines and new feeds on a consistent basis is key to building engagement on Social Media
  • 10. 2. Schedule This ties in with number one. Plan out a posting schedule, checking the best times of the day to post. Have themed days and create expectancy and encourage engagement i.e. Fan Friday!

  • 12. 3. Post Photos or Videos Photos Typically get 50% more interaction than text alone. This amount increases on Ads when promoted. Instagram is Photo driven so is a given! Maybe a caption this photo question as an idea?
  • 13. 4. Create a Call to action Giving people a task is ok, telling people in a non salesy way to carry out an action will build engagement. CTA Like “Consider this for a moment…” rather than “Call us for all your Clothing needs on 02871…”
  • 15. 6. Cross promote platforms Not to be confused with posting the same message on all platforms, this is to inform your audience that you are on other platforms and tell them how to follow you there also for more unique content
  • 16. 7. Engage Independently As with Number 6, do not use the same exact content on all platforms. Think of each platforms usage. Why would someone like to visit Instagram? Probably not to read a long form article you also posted to Linkedin…
  • 17. 8. Hold contests and give always Create fun and engaging giveaways that doesn’t devalue your product or service. Discounts are transparent. Give always are always good! Although tempting, avoid using terms like “Tag a friend”!
  • 18. 9. Do NOT be “Salesy” People don’t wake up in the morning itching to go on Facebook to see products for sale. Be social. Give Value. Always and forever.
  • 19. 10. Hold Flash Sale when Promoting Organically, it is advisable to never be salesy on Social media, UNTIL you put money behind it and your post becomes “Sponsored” Then it is ok as long as you tie your product into your brands story.
  • 20. 11. Integrate Social Media Make sure you have engaging Websites with one click buttons to social media platforms, also on Business cards or alternatives. Make sure to track with pixels where your customer has come from
  • 21. 12. Post Reviews Social Proof is key also when building engagement. Most of us here today have read reviews and were influenced by positive or negative experiences. Share the positives and address the negatives
