4. Conception Finale Company is an internationally recognized and respected landscape architecture firm
which specializes in integrating the disciplines of art, architecture, and landscape. The Sparks Light based
corporation employs fourteen professional landscape architects and designers and offers comprehensive
landscape design for civic, institutional, commercial, and residential clients.
The company combines a passion for plant materials and for the history of landscape architecture to create
designs that evolve from a site‟s cultural and physical environment. Each design is informed by a site‟s
geography, ecology, and history. Spatial organization is created by focusing on the movement of people
through a place, how a series of spaces is connected, how objects and materials frame and form the
proportions of a project. Aesthetic sensitivity is balanced by an interest in the symbolic nature of the built
environment and a commitment to sustainable landscape design.
The company is certified as a City of Future Green which represents as the „Future Green City Landscape
Designs‟. Several of the company‟s projects utilize sustainability features including rainwater harvesting for
irrigation of a drought tolerant palette, as well as the construction of bioswales and the planting of shade-
giving trees in parking lots. Conception Finale Company has worked within many Leadership in Energy &
Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and is committed to the on going efforts in conservation
and preservation.

efficient landscaping is essential in our design process. Every project features innovative design solutions to
the complex issues of building landscapes in their particular place. Our project for the Sparks Light Public
Library with Moore Ruble Yudell, Architects received a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design
(LEED™) Gold Rating and utilizes many sustainability features including rainwater harvesting for
irrigation, a drought-tolerant planting palette, recycled materials in the hardscape, bio-swales to cleanse
rainwater before releasing it into the ground, and a water efficient irrigation system.
Several members of Stefan Loke are LEED professional, and we have designed many LEED™ certified
projects. We are committed to the on going efforts in conservation and stewardship of the landscape. Our
LEED registered projects include libraries, courthouses, civic centers, homes and offices throughout

7. Stefan Loke combines an extensive knowledge of plant materials and the history
of landscape with an interest in architectural spaces that have symbolic
resonance. As principal of the firm with over 15 years of professional experience,
he oversees conceptual design and plays a critical role in site and program
analysis, design development, client presentations and construction observation.
Conception Finale‟s projects include private residences and public spaces in
California, New York, Brazil, Bahamas, Japan, and Taiwan.
He has explored the significance of landscape and its relationship to art and
architecture at design symposia and international speaking engagements. He has
taught and lectured at many universities, including the UCLA School of
Architecture, the University of Southern California, and the Southern California
Institute of Architecture.
His work has been featured in many books including Pocket Gardens and
Transforming the American Garden as well as in Landscape Architecture
magazine, Garden Design, Process, and the Los Angeles Times Magazine. In
2003, Princeton Architectural Press “Private Landscapes: Modernist Gardens in
Southern California,” which profiles the suburban gardens by mid-century
modernists Richard Neutra, Rudolph Schindler, and a number of their colleagues.

8. Peter Leux has been with Conception Finale since 1997. As Director of
Operations, he oversees the firm‟s project development, office
dynamics, day-to-day human resources, office management and marketing.
In addition, Peter also performs the role of Project Director for many of
Conception Finale‟s major projects. He lends his expertise in specification
writing and budget analysis to staff, and he assists in the assembly and
quality control for most office projects. He has been responsible for
construction documents and construction observation for many institutional
and commercial clients, as well as numerous projects for the Los Angeles
Department of Water and Power. All of these projects required extensive
coordination with user groups and facilities maintenance departments to meet
their site requirements. His understanding of grounds department concerns
with water-use, material up-keep and replacement, and with security issues
helps to ensure the design of environments that will stand the test of time and
limited care.
A passion for horticulture and the wealth of plant materials that thrive in our
Southern California climate lead Peter to an on-going quest for more trees
and shrubs that we can incorporate into our projects. An inveterate observer
of how trees and shrubs thrive in ideal or challenging conditions, she reviews
each site with a critical eye.
