3. What are the main differences
between cameras?
At SpyCameraCCTV we sell a huge range of wired CCTV cameras, in this slide we will explore the main differences
between each camera.
The main difference in each camera is the resolution or TV Lines. TV Lines describe the quality of the image from the
camera, so the higher the number the higher the resolution and thus the higher the quality of the image. Our wired
CCTV cameras range from 420 TV Line all the way up to 700 TV Line.
The second major difference is the type of imaging chip inside the camera. Our basic home cameras use CMOS
imaging chips, these chips are slightly inferior to some of the other technologies we sell. The CMOS cameras will give
lower image quality and lower colour clarity when compared to our CCD Cameras. All of our cameras above the basic
home cameras, such as our range of Gamut cameras, use Sony CCD chips. Sony CCD technology is the best on the
market at the moment, the image quality and colour reproduction is excellent.
The final difference between our cameras is the range of night vision. Our cameras have a range of night vision from
8 metres all the way up to 60 metres. The best thing to do is measure out the distance you need to see at night and
then buying the appropriate range camera.
These are the main differences between our cameras, all you have to do is match your particular requirements with
one of our cameras and you are sorted!
4. What design of camera should I
choose?
Bullet Camera: Dome/Eyeball Camera:
There are 2 main types of wired CCTV cameras, we will leave our hidden/camouflaged cameras for another
presentation, in this slide we will look at our Bullet and Dome cameras.
The bullet cameras are best used in outdoor situations because of the versatility of the bracket. They can still be used
indoors but for mounting straight to a ceiling a dome camera may be a better bet.
The dome cameras are great for indoor use, again because they can be easily mounted on a wall or a ceiling.
