The TOP-IX Consortium is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 that operates an Internet exchange in Northwestern Italy. It has over 80 affiliated members and 12 employees. The consortium develops and manages the network infrastructure to provide Internet exchange services. It also runs a Development Program that provides support to internet startups through access to infrastructure, networking opportunities, and workshops. In 2011, the consortium generated 2.9 million euros in revenue from its services.
