Project Description:
Vodafone UK - Vodafone is the largest telecom company in the UK, providing services through 500+
stores across UK. Oracle retail applications are needed to be deployed in Vodafone stores and
warehouses to maintain the smooth transaction flow through Oracle applications like ORCO (Oracle
retail Central Office), ORBO (oracle retail back office), ORPOS (Oracle Retail Point of Sale), ORSIM (Oracle
Retail Stock Inventory Management), ORMS (Oracle Retail Merchandising system), ORESA (Oracle Retail
Sales Audit), RPM (Retail Price Management), RIB (Retail Integration Bus).
Responsibility:
I am associated with Vodafone UK as Oracle Retail Associate Techno-Functional Consultant of Oracle
Retail Store Solutions (ORSS) that includes Point-of-Service (POS), Back Office (ORBO) and Central Office
(ORCO).
I am responsible for supporting and maintaining the production environment of Vodafone UK i.e.
 Maintaining daily operations of all 500+ live stores with their store open/close workflows.

2.  Transaction flow and sync up within the ORSS and with external third parties like SIM, RMS,
ReSa, Siebel, FMW, EDW/MIS.
 Items and price maintenance from RMS to POS.
 Store Rollout i.e. Domain creation, ORBO and POS installation.
 Certificate Generation and implementation across the estate (POS/ORBO and ORCO)
 Bug fixes which include Technical and Functional changes.
 New customizations and Enhancements in existing system (POS/ORBO)
 Weblogic maintenance and support.
 Development of automation Scripts in core java, vb, unix, pl/sql.
 Deployment of fixes/changes across the estate though changes requests.
 Maintaining and resolving of incident tickets or change requests raised through BMC Remedy
Portal.
 Providing training and overview of Retail domain (ORSS,SIM,RMS,ReSa,Rib) to freshers/new
joiners.
 Prepare Monthly Status Report (MSR) and Weekly Status Report (WSR) that is to be discussed
with Customer.
 Working on Oracle SRs for the bugs on base product.
Apart from the above roles, I have worked on applications integrated with POS like SIM,RMS,ReSa and
Rib.
