2. The enterprises academus GMbH y New City have prepared a certification program that will allow you to immerse into
the new reality of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its impact on people, organizations and cities
Several partners are supporting this initiative: Dosmartcity, Chilan German Chamber of Commerce, And Prochile from
Chile; as well as The Institute for Innovation and Technology from Berlin.
We believe that the future depends on how people envisage, understand and contribute in their own environment. How
to approach to new challenges?, how to be prepared for them ?, how to change paradigms?
We invite students, academics, independent professionals, business managers, entrepreneurs, municipal officials, social
leaders, and all kinds of citizens to contribute and collaborate for a sustainable and intelligent future for cities.
For Smart cities, we want to start with Smart Citizens.

Economist, MBA Alejandra Labarca, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Founder of SOMOS NEW CITY. Ex Director of the department Future Cities at
Fraunhofer Chile Research. Project leader and coordinator in the field of Smart City since 2012, e.g. launch of Smart Grid (intelligent electric
network) by Chilectra in Huechuraba (2012-2013), development of two central offices for Smart Building (intelligent edification), and Smart
Santiago (2014-2015). Certification: Theory and Tools of the Harvard Negotiation Project - CMI International.
Dr.-Ing,Bernd Stary, Geoscientist, Executive Director academus GmbH, founding partner at insel-projekt.berlin UG. Worked
for many years in the Geodesia and Geoinformation Department of Technische Universität Berlin. Project Manager at technet GmbH. Expert in
the organization of international events in the fields of Geoscience, architecture and medical technology and more. Founding member of the
geoscientific coordination platform GEO.X. Founder of Smart city projects, such as “New Mobility Berlin” in cooperation with BMW Group Germany
and the Economic Department of the Berlin Senate
Master of Arts degrees in German Literature and Musicology from the University of Freiburg and a Master of Science in
Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration Zürich (GSBA), in Switzerland, together with the University of
Wales (dual degree program). He has nearly twenty years’ experience in Human Resources Management with emphases on Recruitment,
Organization & Leadership Development, Human Resources Strategy and Labor LawAs a coach, he works with experienced professionals in
career transition as well as with entrepreneurs and leaders who wish to more fully develop their business and leadership potential.
Diana Suendermann, MA American Studies and Spanish Philology, Universität Potsdam. Ex Project Manager in the area Innovation of the
German-Chilean Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Project leader and coordinator in the fields of Innovation Management, Cluster
Management and Politics, Corporate Foresight, Demographic Change, Industry 4.0, Smart City. Key qualifications: technology transfer, public
funded projects, foreign trade promotion.
Jonas Schorr, MA Global Media & Communications, London School of Economics and Fudan University Shanghai. Has worked as a research
fellow at Technische Universität Berlin, being an active part of Berlin’s emerging Smart City scene. Expert in international city cooperation.
Coordinates the Policy Transfer Platform, an innovative knowledge exchange platform for city experts worldwide in which 140 cities participate.
He has worked at the London School of Economics’ urban research centre LSE Cities and the Urban Age Programme. He has studied and worked
in a variety of contexts in Europe, Singapore and China.

All given fees include VAT. The current VAT amount (19%) is explicitly specified in the invoice.
6. Registration and Tuition Fee
• Interested entities in the Program must register, and pay a tuition fee within 5 working days after the registration date, as
instructed at: smartcity-tours.com/SCT-Registration-form.htm.
• The tuition fee is equivalent to 10% of the total Program price, as applicable.
• The amount of the tuition fee will be deducted at the time of payment of the total cost of the Program, when it becomes
effective.
• The entities / companies that register their participation before June 20th, 2017, will be able to be part of the partners that
will appear in the Program marketing material between the months of June, July, August and September, including the
event Dosmartcities (www.dosmartcity.cl/), and any other national or international means where the Program is
disseminated.
Payment of the Total Amount of the Program
The remaining balance of the SCManager program must be payed no later than August 20th, 2017. Failure to make this
payment on that occasion will be considered as a decline to participate in the Program and, therefore, a vacancy for
potential interested parties is released.
If you have to cancel the registration, you get 80% back until 30 days before the start of the event. In all other cases, the
financial responsibilities of the participants remain fully effective.
Payments will be refunded if the Program is cancelled by the organizer. In that case, the organizer will have no further
liability to the client.
