As per National Crime Records Bureau of India, around 15 people die every day due
to electrical accidents ( Almost 3% total accident deaths) NFPA, USA studies reveal
electricity to be the ignition source for 22% of total fires.
ADVANCED ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUDIT
For Manufacturing plants, Hotels, Hospitals, Hazardous installations and
Commercial buildings…
Fire hazards in India
On an average, in India, every year, about 25,000 persons die due to
fires and related causes. Female accounts for about 66% of those
killed in fire accidents. It is estimated that about 42 females and 21
males die every day in India due to fire. According to the statistics
released by the National Crime Records Bureau, fire accounts for
about 5.9% (23,281) of the total deaths reported due to natural and
un-natural causes during the year 2012. Probably many of these
deaths could have been prevented, had we taken enough fire
protection measures.
No comprehensive data is available in India on the economic losses
suffered on account of fires. However, according to one estimate the
major losses reported by the Indian Insurance Companies in the year
2007-2008 indicate, that about 45% of the claims are due to fire
losses. According to another estimate about Rs. 1000 crores are lost
every year due to fire. Fire losses are reported both in industrial and
non-industrial premises like hospitals, commercial complexes,
educational institutions, assembly halls, hotels, residential buildings,
etc… According to Fire Risk Survey (FRS) 2013, carried out by
Pinkerton & Federation of Indian Chambers and Industry, in India, fire
accounted for 8.45% of the overall ranking of risks. FRS also revealed
that fires has been rated as the 5th highest risk in industry in 2013.
The above survey also revealed that in industry wise risk ranking, fire
take 2nd place in hospitality, 4th place in IT/ITES, Manufacturing,
Security Service Providers and 6th place in infrastructure. As far as
the leading cause for the fire is concerned, according to the survey,
the electric defaults are regarded as the major cause of fires. In
Mumbai about 75% of fire-related incidents occur because of
short circuit caused by loose wiring.
The survey also point out that during the period 2009-2012, Mumbai
fire department had attended 13,185 incidents of fire out of which
9711 were caused due to defective electric circuit. The scenario for
other major cities are also not different.
Advanced Electrical Safety Audit
Advanced Electrical Safety Audit – First one of its kind in India, helps
you to identify anomalies in Electrical installations which may lead
to fire hazards, electric shocks, damage to equipments and lead to
breakdown and production loss.
Advanced Electrical Safety Audit
Expert electrical scanning using Infrared thermography helps to identify
hidden risk of fire, looseness or improper termination, improper crimping,
inadequate earthing, thermal effects of harmonics, under rated or poor
quality gadgets and accessories and many other issues which may lead to fire
hazards, breakdown and energy wastage.
Electrical audit as per IEE / NEC standards helps to identify lapses in the
electrical system and assures standard operation and maintenance . This
would comply all local / Govt. standard practices and procedures to
maintain an electrical system . Essential to protect human life and assets !

Intuitive report structure ! Crystal clear analysis and reporting as per NETA /
FPA / Electrical Inspectorate standards ! Effective tracking and review
methodology etc adds value to your maintenance management programme
and ensures results.
Training, Coaching and Mentoring to Maintenance management team for
improving skills and knowledge and to strengthen systematic electrical
maintenance management activities . This assures healthiness of electrical
equipments and prevents hazards due to fire and electric shock.
Benefits ?
Electrical Safety Audit is examining the safety of electrical installations
of any industrial unit or organization. Electrical Safety Audit is performed
by enquiry, inspection, testing and verification. Electrical Safety Audits
are conducted by experienced professionals who assist clients in
reducing risk and help to ensure compliance with applicable Safety
Standards and Regulations
Electrical Safety Audits helps in identifying:
Electrical hazards to minimize the risk of accidents like fire due to loose
connection to short-circuiting, Areas of risk or vulnerability in electrical
systems and installations, on-compliance with the legislation and best
