11. HOW TO CREATE A GOOD ESSAY
• Essay and CV are the only way how the university review our competency and
motivations for master degree / post graduate study
• PUT YOUR FULL EFFORT to create your essay
– Check formats, contents, number of words
– Once you finish, Ask your peers to check content and grammar, get input from others
• READ AS MANY AS ESSAY/CV. This will give you insight what to put into your essay/CV

13. • Once you apply the university, wait until the Uni sending offering letter (CONDITIONAL
LoA) because you have yet submit English certificate as per requirement
• now,,, focus on enhancing English, you have to put your effort on this
– If you have enough money, or if you are the person who can’t stick with your own schedule,
attending TOEFL or IELTS preparation course can be a choice, like TBI, KAPLAN, ITB, UI.
Attending course will not guarantee that you will pass the Exam. You still need Self Learning
– If you don’t wanna spend money for course, don’t worry, what you need to do is only
PRACTICE EVERYDAY (IELTS Cambridge 1-10 is enough for you to be familiar with the exam)
– YOU NEED TO PRACTICE SPEAKING EVERYDAY, get Speaking partner with your peers, find
online partners, or etc, the more practice, the more fluent you will be
– PRACTICE WRITING, be familiar with the topics and create your own format, see references
of good score. The are lots of sources in the internet. Ask peer to review your essay.
– 1.5 months intensive learning is enough IF WE CONSISTENT
– DONT STOP WHEN YOU’RE TIRED, STOP WHEN YOU FINISH. If you fail in your first test, try a
second test. If fail in your second one, do the third.

• Find Scholarship which will give full cover of tuition fee, living cost, and family
• Prepare Scholarship Applications (CV, Essay, Personal Statement, Awards, Social Activities)
• Prepare for Interview
- Be humble
- Prepare the answer (Motivations, Study Plan, Your Strong Point)
- Practice with peers
