The Bulgarian Sambo Federation invites the national sambo team of your country to participate in the 2011 European Sambo Championships taking place from May 12-16 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The championships will feature competitions in sports sambo for men and women across various weight classes, as well as combat sambo for men. Participants will be housed at the hotel Rodina and competitions will be held at the sport complex Universiada. The deadline to apply for participation is April 15.

1. I N V I T AT I O N
Dear Mr. President,
With the present invitation the Bulgarian Sambo federation has the honor to
kindly invite you and the national team of your country to participate in the
European Championships sports men and women and combat sambo men
which will take place in the city of Sofia from May 12th to May 16th 2011.

2. REGULATIONS
Of the European Sambo Championships sports/men and women/ and combat

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1 The European Sambo Campionships men and women shall be carried in
compliance with the actual rules of FIAS currently in force.
1.2 The European Sambo Championships shall be held with the purpose of
promoting sambo sport and its development in Europe strengthening of
international sports relationships.
1.3 The Championships will be organised from the Bulgarian Sambo
Federation and FIAS/ The European Sambo federation/.
2. TIME AND PLACE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
2.1 The European Championships will be held in the city of Sofia from May
12th to May 16 th 2011 in the sport complex „Universiada“, „Shipchenski
prohod st. ,Sofia, Bulgaria
3. PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
3.1 National Federations – memebrs of FIAS, having paid the relevant
annual fee, are entitled to participate in the World Championships.

3. 3.3 Applications for participation shall be sent no later than April 15th 2011.
The Bulgarian Sambo Federation will take care concerning the
procedure of issuing the visas only to the federations which have sent on
time the requested information.
Each application should include the number of the paticipants. The full list
of all delegation memebrs for visa purposes shall include the following data:
Full names,dates of birth, passport numbers, name and address of the
employer, position, dates of arrival and departure, as well as a copy of the
passport.

4.TECHNICAL CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION
4.1The coompetition shall be carried out in compliance with FIAS rules and
regulations by the following categories:
Мen sports sambo 52,57,62,68,74,82,90,100,+100 кg
Women sport sambo 48,52,56,60,64,68,72,80,+80 кg
Мen(combat sambo) 52,57,62,68,74,82,90,100,+100 кg
4.2 The Competition will be carried out in compliance withFIAS rules and
regulations .
4.3 All team memebrs should have undergone an obligatory medical check up,
whereas the results of this medical check up have to be recorded in the sambo
player license; Each country participating in the European Championships
shall be obliged to insure each delegation member.
4.4 Emergency medical services/First aid/ shall be provided by the
Organization Committeee to all participants during the Championships.
4.5 Only international category referees are admitted to the
Europeanchampionships by official invitation from FIAS, the costs for refeering
are to the charge of FIAS.
4.6 All delegations are obliged to have 1 state flag, national anthem recorded
on a CD.
5. AWARDING OF THE WINNERS
5.1 Participants of the Worldchampionships, who have taken from 1st to 3rd
place shall be awarded with medals and diplomas and presents.
Teams having taken the first three places separately – men, women , combat
sambo shall be awarded with cups.

4. 6. OFFICIAL CEREMONIES
6.1 The sportsmen take part in the official ceremony related to the opening of
the European Championships
6.2 The national anthem shall be played and the national flag shall be hoisted in
the honour if the respective winners.
6.3 During the official awarding ceremonies participants should wear sport
suits.
7.FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
7.1 Eaxh member of the official delegation shall be obbliged to pay to the
Organization Committee a fee of 75 $ USD per day /3 -x meals and
accomodation.
7.2 Airport transfer -airport-hotel-the competition venue and back against a fee
of 10EUR per person the Organisation.
7.3 Delegation leaders shall be obliged ti settle all financial matters on the date
of arrival of delegation and all demands of accreditations as well.
7.4 Participants who will participate in the Championships but are not included
in the application form up to 15.04.2011, should pay 100EUR per day.
7.5Participants living to their own expenses should pay the Organizing
Committee a fee amounting to 75EUR once at their arrival./ accomodation,
meals and transfers are not included hotel-the competition venue and back/.
7.6 The Championship Organizing Committee shall accept on its own account
for the period from 12.05 to 16.06. 2011 the President of FIAS, Secretary
General of FIAS.
8. ACCOMODATION AND ACCREDITATION
8.1 All participants will be accomodated in the hotel „Rodina“ on the following
address: Sofia-1606, boul. 8 „General Totleben“
8.2 The Accreditation will take place in hotel „Rodina“
9. OTHER INFORMATION
9.1 All participants will be assisted for the issuing of the visas in the embassies
and consulates in Bulgaria.
9.2 All kind of correspondance related to the European Championships should
be addressed to the Bulgarian Sambo Federation.
