Andy Morgan is a cook. He works in a Chinese
restaurant.
He gets up at quarter past seven every morning.
He walks to a café near the restaurant to have
breakfast and read the newspaper.
He has toast with jam and butter and a cup of
coffee.
Then he goes to the restaurant to check everything is O.K.
He thinks about what the menu is going to be that day.
Everyday there is fish and meat on the menu.
There is also fresh fruit and cakes for dessert.
When he knows what he is cooking that day he goes to the market to buy all the
ingredients he needs.
He buys fish and different types of meat, like chicken, beef or rabbit.
Then he goes to the fruit stall to buy the fruit. His favourite fruits are bananas,
oranges and strawberries.
At eleven o’clock he goes to the restaurant and writes the menu on the board.
He starts preparing all the different dishes for the day.
He waits for the customers to come to the restaurant.
Sometimes the clients are very hungry and order a lot of food!
When all the customers leave he cleans all the kitchen floors and the cooking area.
He finishes his working day at 5.00 and catches the bus back home.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays he reads or watches T.V. all evening.
On Mondays and Wednesdays he goes to play basketball with his friends.
He goes to bed everyday at half past ten. He needs to sleep to get energy for the
next day!
