1. NFC Smart Life

5. NFC (Near Field Technology) is a:
standards-based, short-range wireless connectivity
technology that enables simple and intuitive “two-way
interactions” between electronic devices.

6. Standards-based significa:
Merely technical standards like global contactless standards ISO 14443 and/or ISO
18092. These are intended for use by manufacturers wanting to implement an NFC
device.
Mixed technical/functional
standards like the NFCForumTM technical
specification. Some of them
define the syntax of
messages exchanged
between devices and they
are intended also for use by
software developers.

7. Short range significa:
NFC has a very short range (typically 1-2 inches). Therefore while it
is called a “contactless” technology, the range is short enough that
the phone or card usually must be “tapped” against the reader
device for the transaction to occur reliably.

8. Simple and intuitive significa:
The NFC is a user-friendly technology. Simply tap a tag with
a phone or bring your phone to a NFC reader to enable a
service

9. Two-way interactions significa:
NFC technology enables three modes
• Reader/Writer mode – where an NFC device reads an NFC tag or
device acting in card emulation mode
• Peer-to-Peer mode – where two NFC devices create a connection
to share information
• Card Emulation mode – where an NFC device acts as an NFC tag

10. NFC device: Reader/Writer
The NFC device will read the information stored on the tag and
can display the information through an appropriate application,
such as a web browser or email client.

objects
NFC Smart Posters are objects in or on which readable NFC tags have been
placed. An NFC Smart Poster can come in many forms – it can be a
poster, billboard, magazine page, even a three-dimensional object.
The common factor is an NFC tag that has an NDEF message stored in it and is
attached or embedded in the desired medium.

Interactivity: The user interface functions of mobile phones – displays, keyboards, touch
screens, etc. – enable NFC services to be interactive.
Remote Multi-Application Management: The addition of a
mobile network enables application management functions,
such as dynamic provision to a trusted execution
environment, assignment of trusted areas, application
download, personalization and locking/unlocking.
Remote User Management: User management functions are
enabled for users and service providers by leveraging the
“always on” communication of mobile networks.

NFC Forum suggerisce:
1.Fulfill an unmet need that only NFC can satisfy.
2.Perform a complex action more simply with NFC.
3.Provide an answer to a major business problem.
4.Apply NFC to verticals with high potential for early commercialization
Gennaro aggiunge:

navigatore.
all’impianto elettrico.

precedenza!
