Internship of Coco Kona
Coco Kona chose to intern with Kowie FM 99 Dot Zero from the 1st
December 2012 to 6th
January 2013.
During this time Coco was trained in studio, with on-air desk training and vocal presenting. Coco was also
given the task of creating her own show, where she researched her own content ideas and compiling her own
music that would adhere to the format of the station, including benefitting the community which the station is
based. Through this training she was allotted an hour once off live on-air show.
She showed true determination and an uncanny willingness to learn. Coco was able to grasp the nature of radio
in a very short space of time and with extra training and practise will make a brilliant radio presenter and Top
Hit DJ. Coco’s voice and personality is an excellent combination for radio presenting.
Coco also excelled in the public relations for Kowie FM. She administered our Facebook page with new and
fresh thinking. Updating our Facebook listeners with programme lineups and events in the area during the
festive season. Her work on the page showed an increase in likes for the page as well as a greater interest in the
station and response from listeners.
If a position would become available here, I would not hesitate in hiring her services to the station.
